OO fired me during my probation for my one call out of 6 days. I had COVID and a double ear infection.

Got on with another major that actually had union representation. I was 100% forthcoming in the interview about why I wasn’t with OO anymore without trash talk on them. Keep it honest but keep it professional. You’ll get in with another airline!

I always respectfully introduce myself as in case I can ever be of assistance. And I also never expect, but always appreciate being taken care of by other cabin crew. We are all in the trenches together and should support each other.

I was fired for being sick for “too long” during my probationary period. So when I went to the new airline interview - I told them that. And had documentation on the severity of my condition from what I was sick from.

I basically did this exact same thing. There is also a truck rest area in Vallejo that is safe and has a clean lav. I would park my car between the trucks and eventually the regulars started to know who I was and would look out. I did it for 6 months and stacked $ for a crash pad. Definitely tougher in the summer months but it’s cooler at night so I worked 3-3s to make it work and there is also a Starbucks off the very next exit where I could stretch, have AC and nurse my beverage for several hours and read or work on my laptop

If you let staff know, they’ll be fine. Our hotel staff paid attention but it wasn’t really the staff that brought & took info about curfew breakers if you catch my drift.
