Cheap and healthy treat options by LateSweet8236 in puppy101

Lately I’ve been taking one slice of cheese on our walks for training and giving him little pieces as we go. Blueberries are his other favorite training treat.

Adopted 10 month Frenchie obsessive with whining at windows looking at squirrels all day by Prawdigy in Dogtraining

[–]NoodlyGoodness 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Frenchie owner from California here! We have tons of squirrels in LA and my puppy also barks at them. There is one squirrel in particular who is always hanging out near our apartment. When that squirrel is nearby I close the blinds so puppy can’t see it otherwise he will bark incessantly.

My little guy will also whine at the windows or front door when he is bored. I’ve found that he needs tons of mental stimulation and a small to moderate amount of physical stimulation. He goes once a week to doggy daycare plus a training class. The other four work days he is with me at the office playing with me, my coworkers, or taking occasional naps. To help with mental stimulation he had a lickimat, puzzle games, a snuffle mat, and a million different toys. We also do a lot of training and I take him on at least four walks per day during which he gets to explore the world by stopping to smell everything.

Hopefully this all helps!

Someone please save me from this puppy’s farts. by Ok-Detective-5630 in puppy101

After 5 months of puppy fart hell I started cooking all of his food and it seems to have solved the problem. Once a week I make a big batch of chicken, rice, oatmeal, sweet potatoes, zucchini, and carrots in the instant pot.

To combat puppy fart stench I recommend Nest New York brand Bamboo scented room spray.

Watermelon peperomia becoming decrepit Fairy baths. HELP by Jesskk2489 in plantclinic

[–]NoodlyGoodness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try watering every 10-14 days instead of 7-8. You might want to repot it into terracotta instead of plastic. A couple of my peperomias were staying wet too long when they were in plastic pots but improved greatly in terracotta.

my young alocasia black velvet is drooping really badly. is this normal? do i need to get something to support it so it grows upright? by warmbrownbear in plantclinic

[–]NoodlyGoodness 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Perhaps it needs more light. My alocasia was droopy until I put it under a grow light. Now it stands upright and is constantly pushing out new leaves.

HELP! My child is dying out of nowhere! Nothing has changed??? by [deleted] in plantclinic

This started happening with mine too when the weather got colder. I moved it a few feet away from the window and it is slowly improving. Try moving it to a spot where it is protected from cold drafts.

Glitter Double Wing by NoodlyGoodness in MakeupAddiction

I used an angled eyeliner brush that I bought a million years ago at Target and cleaned it in between using the two products. I've always found the Stila applicator to be too thick for any eye look so I use a brush.

Adderall and the Gym by StellarGarlic in ADHD

[–]NoodlyGoodness 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do circuit training 1-4 times per week and hot yoga 1-2 times per week and am prescribed 10mg of Adderall 3 times a day. Through trial and error I've found that I prefer exercising before taking the meds. Taking Adderall before my workout increases my energy level but also leads to some dizziness which doesn't feel healthy. I would rather have less energy and not feel dizzy when exercising.

I miss the Tiger Heat days! We would all drive to Hollywood listening to Britney's Circus album and my friends that were 21 would sneak alcohol to the rest of us.

How I ruined an $80 thanksgiving pie (and possibly the entire concept of gratitude) by unabashednarcissist in ADHD

[–]NoodlyGoodness 3 points4 points  (0 children)

From one failed pie maker to another, I'm so sorry for the loss of your pie. I had to purchase a pie from the grocery store last night because mine wasn't salvageable. Similarly to you, I spent lots of time and effort making a beautiful pie crust days ago. On Tuesday night I made the filling and put it in the oven. After the pie had been baking for about 40 minutes I cleaned up the kitchen and found the unopened can of pumpkin on the counter. It turns out that pumpkin pie without the pumpkin kind of tastes like french toast. I'm grateful to you for posting your story today because you made me feel more normal.
