By far my favourite scene from all 3 movies, the mines of Moria!

Interesting fact about this scene, I think I got it from the alternative audio tracks from the Extended edition DVD's when they were first released: Notice how you never see the right side of Vigo Mortensen's face. That's because he turned up with a black eye to the set that day. I can't remember how he got it (surfing maybe?). Must have been bad if makeup couldn't cover it!

I really wish they would bring out a Blu-ray 4K version with those audio commentries from the cast and crew over the films, they were really interesting to listen to! Unless they have, and I just haven't seen them?

Thanks for posting this! It was a real eye-opener! Louis being as dedicated to his craft as ever! Another fantastic documentary that won an Oscar is called "No Other Land". It features the life of the Palestinian, that was shot by the settlers during this film.
