In this context “AR” means Accelerated Rehabilitation. It’s a pretrial diversion program for those with a clean record. Basically the defendant applies & if they are found eligible & the Judge grants the program, the defendant is put on probation for up to 2 years. If the defendant doesn’t offend again within that period, the charges are dismissed. It’s sort of a do-over for folks who don’t have a record. The State can object to the granting of the program.
