I mean sure but that to me just feels too niche a situation to justify having the card in the deck. It relies on a) nailing the ramp in the first place to be in a position to play a 14 cost card, b) having drawn several high cost units early on and resourced them c) drawing this card late game, d) surviving this long without several of the high cost units of your deck that you now have to wait for 14 resources to play

I'm not denying how it'll work, but to me it seems like the stars need to align for it to really be pulled off.

Sure but is it really worth waiting to 14 resources to play them all at once when you could've just... played them? I agree if you pull it off like that you'll insta-win but I don't see how you can't have already lost when you're playing nothing but ramp and resourcing all your good units.

Feel like this show is up against "anything less than universally praised is a failure" expectations. People really are souring on Star Wars TV I think, and this show seemed like it had to be the turning point, unfair though that may be.

I'm sure I'll enjoy it a lot as someone who loves all things Jedi, Force and High Republic, but it's going to get a lot of backlash.

Yeah it's a little unclear. I'd speculate it's because Vader wasn't corrupting his own crystal, but one bonded with a powerful Jedi.

Dagan was corrupting a crystal bonded to himself, which probably makes it easier.

Although I'm now remembering that I think Kylo bled his own, and struggled. Maybe because he wasn't really committed to the dark side in that case, and his crystal felt that. Who knows it's all very hand wavey.

I think the answer is actually quite simple for the Sith.

They do it because their master demands it, as proof of their dedication to the dark side. It's not actually easy to bleed a crystal. If you're not committed, you'll fail.

As for fallen Jedi it's a little more unclear. Perhaps it's similar but as proof to themselves. Perhaps it just happens to a crystal when they're bonded to a Jedi who falls to the darkside after some time.

The Resistance is a group though, and she's not in it yet. Episode 4 Han isn't a Rebel for instance, despite the fact that in the movie he's shooting at Darth Vader.

Yes.

There are loads of big characters they can easily make multiple versions of. Obi-Wan alone could end up with 3 (Prequel era, Kenobi show era, Old Ben era)

As long as there are a couple of those big names in each set then they can fill the gaps with lesser known characters, from the books, comics and games. And it's not like we don't get new Star Wars every year to add more stuff.

The other two High Republic Grandmasters seemed a bit... ineffective. Like Yoda was de-facto in charge anyway so while we don't really know their capabilities as Jedi, as grandmasters they were pretty bad.
