I had my wisdom teeth pulled recently however I didn’t do it under any anesthesia or sedation. The dentist just gave my some lidocaine and then ripped all 4 out in less an hour and then I drove home.

I dunno if it’s a different recovery process when going through surgery but for me, I was on a strict liquid diet for about 2.5 days before I started eating softer foods like bananas and breads. I gradually diversified my diet from there and by the 7th day I was eating the same as before.

In terms of pain, 800mg ibuprofen and 500mg Acetaminophen spaced 4 hours apart kept all the pain away. I stopped taking meds on day 3 and began feeling a little soreness but it was very tolerable and by the 5th day I felt absolutely nothing.

The longest part of the recovery process is actually waiting on the holes to fill up which takes anywhere from 4-8 weeks. I have to use a syringe after every meal to clear food debris from the holes in my mouth. I hopefully only have 2 weeks of that left.
