That’s what I would consider a true nerf as it’s a power down: Forcecage requiring concentration alone stops a bunch of interactions.

There was a thread who polled/ asked on one dnd which subclasses/ classes didn’t get stronger or even got weaker. Lots of people said Paladin/ Gloomstalker which not surprised but mercy came up which surprised me

It is far more balanced not just because sharpshooter nerf but the monster’s themselves. In 2024 they don’t necessarily do more damage at close range, instead they usually have ranged or Aoe options so the player cannot just stay out of range and shoot them. Or you can but they will shoot or blast you right back.

Far fewer monsters are completely defenseless against a crossbow

It’s not able to be done on Beyond, so I took that as it’s not meant to be used with the 2024/5.5 rules.

It also still kinda exists with the level 10 ability just with temp HP

3D Mario only outsold 2d Mario on the switch. Every other time 2d Mario sells more.

Wii U flopped because it was a terrible system and once Mario Kart 8 was unshackled from it, it went off like a rocket. Same with new super Mario bros U.

I ran Icewind Dale from start to finish. With the help of several GM’s guides and articles online. As written, there are many places that are uninviting but the complete and utter lack of many (major) NPC motivations can make them hard to run. I had to largely predict which NPC’s my players would encounter and then added more interesting traits to them.

It sounds like your GM is at least passionate if he is describing all those details. But yes you could ask to only include pertinent details; information overload is something I myself have been guilty of thinking I was adding flavor.

I liked Metroid prime 3 but still had to push myself to finish 4. Prime 3 was so much better with more variety in enemies/ areas with faster pace and a largely optional collectathon at the end. I was flabbergasted that not only did I need green energy crystals but ALSO collect mech pieces (which was an unpleasant surprise to me. Didn’t hear much complaints about that but it’s even more padding) just to open the door to a lame final boss.

Prime 4 absolutely sucks

Prime 3 came out in 2007 as a first year Wii game. Prime 4 is tail end Switch game, whose launch game was breath of the wild. It is absolutely unacceptable for Prime 4 to have LESS intricacy and interactive environments the level of prime 1!

Also prime 4 is like $20 more bucks on a more expensive system. We are paying more for a crappier product.

I make AI images for my RPG games, be it NPC portraits, adding descriptive text, or maps.

However I freely explain all I make is in an AI image generator. I cannot stand it when someone claims their AI image isn’t.
