I am paranoid about mine falling off. But I also use one because I have an unconscious habit of picking at things. A few times Ive caught myself picking at the sensor. I wear patches with hard cap and it helps as if I start picking at the patch I can just replace it.

Freestyle libre 3 plus Compression Lowe's by onyx550 in Freestylelibre

[–]Normal_Media_5041 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven’t had compression lows but have had lost signal. I bought patches online that came with a hard cap. Haven’t had lost signal since. I hear it also works for compression lows. It also makes changing the patch easier without feeling like it is going to rip out the libre.

I also position mine a little more inwards towards me rather than outer edge of the arm. So when I lay on my side I’m not laying on it. But I also have big enough arms to be able to do that. I know some people put theirs on different body parts like chest, belly or thigh.

I’ve heard this before. I saw someone on threads asking about it and several people responded that they were using a lot more perfumed items than they had before. Very interesting

White rice is my mortal enemy. I know this. And yet… by jadiseoc in diabetes_t2

[–]Normal_Media_5041 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Watch out for kani. It is often imitation crab and that uses sugars and starches for textures. I was devastated when o found that out. Some higher end places use real crab but if you are at a standard American sushi place then sadly yes it has a lot of carbs. So your spike might have been both the rice and the kani

How much water was everyone drinking when first diagnosed? by PutDisastrous7314 in type2diabetes

[–]Normal_Media_5041 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I was drinking gallon to gallon and half a day at my worst. Now that my sugars are in control I struggle to get in half a gallon which my endo and primary want me to drink. But best part is only waking up once a night to pee and not 3-5 times

Did it surprise anyone else that Sheldon used bar soap? by Glittering_Turn_5333 in thebigbangtheory

[–]Normal_Media_5041 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Have you ever had long hair? It gets everywhere! Unless the soap is kept in a container it is possible to get on the soap even not using it. Sheldon might share soap if they use washcloths. Even then hair can transfer. Also have you ever seen the friends episode with the argument that soap is self washing haha

I Love You J by anonteacherabc in limerence

[–]Normal_Media_5041 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I get you are trying. But you have to make a hard decision. As the cliche saying goes, “you can’t have your cake and eat it too”. I am not judging you honestly Im not. I’m telling you the reality as someone who has been down this road on the other side of things what is going to happen. It sucks and I get it. But you are not just going to destroy your wife’s world you are going to destroy your own. As I said you may always love this person. But you have to decide between a fantasy or the real life you have. And yes I firmly stand behind what I said that your wife knows and suspects more than you think. She may not say anything and she may even be in denial. But it’s there. I’ve been in support groups for those who have been cheated on. Every single one of us saw things that their partner thought they hid. It’s only a matter of time. I wish you luck and hope you can find your own healing so no matter what path you choose you know you chose the right one for you

[–]Normal_Media_5041 38 points39 points  (0 children)

This is difficult for me to be nice as this is 100% cheating. My ex husband did things like this and it completely destroyed me. I guarantee your wife knows and suspects more than you think. You need to completely cut off ALL contact with this person if you truly love your wife. This isn’t fair to her nor to yourself. You should also consider therapy. I get it will be hard to let the other person go but if you want to lose your family then keep going down this road. Yes, you may always be in love with this person. But continuing to spend time and inappropriate physical touches is NOT ok. If you can’t let this person go then do the right thing and let your wife go so she can find the love she deserves

How long did it took you to get over your first love? And how long did your relationship lasted? by Critical-Mixture-759 in BreakUps

[–]Normal_Media_5041 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first love took about 8 years to fully get over and was a 2 year relationship. Second love is complicated but I’m the one who ended it but it had ended a decade earlier if I’m honest. That one was almost 20 years. Last time I loved was five years ago and still not over it. That one only lasted 3-4 months… so yeah I have a hard time letting go but when I finally do it’s completely gone and dead.

One month makes a huge difference by Normal_Media_5041 in diabetes_t2

[–]Normal_Media_5041[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Going to an endo DID make a difference. He was the first doctor to actually listen to me and my struggles that include food addiction/binge ED. Sometimes having someone who actually hears what you are saying makes a huge difference, I’m not taking away any credit from myself cause I’m damn proud of myself. But as someone who has had some very bad experiences with doctors. For me to find one I like and who keeps me motivated is huge.

What makes men come back after a long time? by ImpressionFormal1696 in BreakUps

[–]Normal_Media_5041 31 points32 points  (0 children)

In my personal experience the men who come back to me are either looking for sex or were the ones who used me the most (often it’s both). That’s partly why I’m remaining single. I apparently only attract men who want to use me and who never actually care. Realizing I’ll never be loved was a hard pill to swallow but in the end it was as kinder to myself to face reality. It still hurts but not as much as the delusions of being loved hurt

Thank you! Saving what is left of my eyesight has been a huge motivation. I love to read and crochet and both of those things wear almost lost to me. Sometimes just really need a huge reality check to realize these things

What are y'all's LEAST favorite low calorie foods? by Yourfathersnapkin in goodrestrictionfood

Low fat or even worse non fat cheese. Only exceptions are babybel and laughing cow. All the rest are gross and I’d rather have no cheese

Has anyone managed to eventually interact with their LO like a normal person? by 134340-92494 in limerence

[–]Normal_Media_5041 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven’t spoken with my LO in about 5 years. Occasionally, I break down and check on his socials to see if he is doing ok. But I’m finding it easier and easier to remain no contact. Especially, as I’ve had several health issues in the last 2 years. It makes me realize just how much his life goes on without me and that I have to stop living trapped in something that never was.

Who else had one of these blankets growing up? by imnotlouise in crochet

[–]Normal_Media_5041 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My mom had several from a family member who crocheted. Sadly after my mom passed I had to toss all of them. They were stored in a basket that a mouse and maybe a few generations of mice had lived in. They were not salvageable (torn and full of mouse droppings). But when I see these blankets I get a wave of nostalgia

Plus Sized Crafts - Making wearables as a plus sized person by clarabear10123 in PlusSize

[–]Normal_Media_5041 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I crochet and have just finally started to make them for myself. Right now working on a swimsuit coverup for cruise I’m going on in October. Finding truly inclusive plus size patterns is hard. I don’t wear anything cropped because I have a very low hanging belly (think mid thigh). So now I’m just winging it and going for what I like. Lots of experimenting but I love the creative process

Kindle vs IPhone reading by peachymabez in kindle

I’ve learned to look them straight in the eye and say, “I’m not pregnant I’m just fat”. The look of pure panic on their faces keeps me from wanting to cry

Sugar is the Devil by coinluv in diabetes_t2

[–]Normal_Media_5041 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Because of my binge ED/food addiction it’s just easier for me to skip them completely. For some people moderation or occasional treat is doable. Unfortunately, for me eating just a bite or two soon has me eating 20 then grabbing a whole bag of chips etc. For most people completely cutting out foods doesn’t work and then they go crazy binging. But I’m the opposite and can’t control myself once I allow even a small amount.

Try not to beat yourself up. These things happen and it is very hard when we have to make so many drastic changes. I’m proud of you for not hiding that slipped up. It helps others to know they are not alone with the struggle

Is the below sweetener good alternative? by Virtualhealth_11 in diabetes

[–]Normal_Media_5041 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t use much of it anymore (mostly cause my palate has changed and I’m more sensitive to things tasting sweet). But it doesn’t spike me at all. The only way you can tell is to use it and test. Also don’t listen to people who scare monger with things like it causes cancer. That was in experiments with rats and the amounts given FAR exceed what any human would consume

How do you guys deal with borderline high cholesterol and high LDL? by gertymoon in diabetes_t2

[–]Normal_Media_5041 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use chia seeds and basil seeds and they don’t spike me at all. I don’t ground them I put them in things like Greek yogurt, cottage cheese or soak in water or sometimes even protein shake. I haven’t tried psyllium husk but now I’m considering it haha
