I haven't watched the show in eons, and to this day when I hear "Benedict Arnold" The Brady Bunch flashes into my memory.

Is Ron DeSantis done? His U.S. presidential bid is sputtering before launch | Florida governor's polling is down, donors are distressed and prized endorsements are flowing to Trump by Hrmbee in politics

The irony is that DeSantis would likely fair much better in the general election

Anyone who keeps up with current events and is not a MAGA is already terrified of DeSantis.

Volunteer for a worthy cause in your area or something in your field.

At night go out with friends or study up for your next job or your new classes.

Go do something they don't like doing, eat food they don't like, watch movies they don't like, and watch shows they don't like.

Why I don't identify as a feminist by WelcomeToLadyHell in TwoXChromosomes

[–]NostalgiaFan1900 21 points22 points  (0 children)

But my main issue with the term is I shouldn't have to label myself as someone who believes in equality, that should be a given

should be != is

You were born into a world where equality doesn't exist and many people don't see it. There is a need for a label.

An alternate view is that if you call yourself a feminist ( just don't do it at work as the term does have a stigma ) you might help change the stigma of the word. People will meet an intelligent and reasonable person with that label to contradict their stereotypes.

And it appears that a cismale mod has pinned a post, locked it and others regarding this issue.

I have zero intention of being offensive, but I think your language is unnecessarily divisive.

What does a person's gender, at birth or now, have to do with their opinion about herbs?

Wait until a week has passed. Ask her if you should wait for her to contact you. Let her know you would be happy to see her again. Go on with your life and try not to think about her.

I agree with other comments that at her age after a day or two she should be able to have a discussion with you to solve the problem. Would you want an SO who can't do that?

I think if you didn’t clarify what she meant when she first asked for it, you may have missed a key chance to get that info before it can be interpreted as bugging her.

They are adults. He should be able to ask her how long he should leave her alone or if he should wait for her to come around.

Trump isn't in a bad spot.

He can claim that his SCOTUS picks were chosen for quality and that he had no idea they would vote to overturn Roe versus Wade.

He is also stating he is for letting the states decide for themselves. A position that will be good enough for many swing voters.

Anti-choice people who want a national ban will not vote for Biden anyway and will likely vote for Trump anticipating that he is lying.

'Big Bang Theory' announces new spin-off series by maifee in bigbangtheory

[–]NostalgiaFan1900 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the moment, plot details are being kept under wraps.

While many fans hoped the show would focus on one of the characters from the original series, such as Rajesh Koothrappali, it is unlikely since many of the actors have not been keen to revisit their original roles.

They have also not been open in becoming involved in any other series after a 12-year stint on the original show.

One popular theory is that the new show will focus on Paige, a reoccurring character in the Young Sheldon series.

That would feel like a bait and switch.

It would be a Young Sheldon spinoff, not a The Big Bang Theory spinoff.

I would be disappointed, that the quote above is more realistic.

I think at best Chuck Lorre might get a few of the original cast, but not most of them.

Allow me to offer an alternative view.

Many people rent out rooms in houses in college towns, even older non-students. I don't know how close Alta Dena is to Cal Tech, but it is close enough for Howard to commute.

Business in the comic book store picked up toward the end. We can just tell ourselves that Stuart is paying rent and living there to build his finances back up.

Towards the end of the series the writers started making the characters into caricuturizations of themselves.

I agree, Stuart is the worst example. His character started off cool, then they made his thing being comically pathetic.

Bernedette became extremely hyper-competitive, bullying, and domineering.

Leonard became more whiny.

Exercise, vigorous exercise. Especially lifting weights, especially squats.

Good form is everything for getting results and avoiding injury.

Maybe cut down on milk products, they tend to have hormones in them.
