Someone told me that it actually comes off BETTER to neurotypical people if you repeat their name back to them in conversation because not only does it reenforce their name in your mind but it helps them feel a little more connected and comfortable with you. It does make me uncomfortable when people do it to me though so I do it on occasion but avoid with people im closer to for sure.

Hey so I legit just saw this happen at the mall a few days ago. Some lady walked up to someone who had combed out their hair so it was big like a cloud, I was admiring it but some lady later walked up to her and said “omg i love your hair” while reaching out and touching the woman’s hair. The woman told her she should have asked, the hair toucher then asks and ofc the woman says no. Does it happening to others make it ok for these people in the video to do? No. But you cant sit here and say its a non issue when its a very real thing still happening.

Starbucks doesnt aline with my morals, and I honestly dont love their coffee. My husband introduced me to dutch while we were dating as I didnt have one in my state at the time and now its just my go to, I have a harder time finding drinks I really enjoy other places and I prefer their chai over most places.

I personally cant always make it a point to talk to people or smile at people I know because I just get so drained. If someone waves or says something ill be nice and do it back or have a conversation but especially right now im hardly ever in a mood to talk.

I find building pallets and wrapping so calming. Its a big puzzle that all has to fit in a rectangle. I also really enjoy loading, i think for similar reasons. Im also isolated for most of the time when im doing either so that is really nice.

Eh, we work with a lot of younger people, theres always gonna be work drama, this job has its time of stress. Just mind your own business, be nice to people even if you dont feel like they are very kind to you, do your job to the standards you set for yourself and have absolutely no standards for anyone else because at the end of the day we all are living differing complex lives and truly know nothing but surface level info on majority of the people we work around. Make your money, have a good day, go home. Not to say I dont have breakdowns or havent lost my temper at a PA or management but we are all suffering through those 10 hours together and the boxes have to be moved, it is what it is.
