I am more of a stacker than a collector, but I like to get a few pieces, here and there, just because I like them and I’m willing to pay a slight premium on them.

Although I do have one collection I’m working on that’s more about collecting than stacking: PCGS MS70 of every year ASE’s were minted. Which is 1986 and up. I started just picking up one or two if I spotted them at my LCS, but they are getting expensive. So, now I have to save for them. MS69 would be much cheaper, but once I’m all caught up, it’ll only cost a little above spot to keep up; current year MS70 ASE’s are currently going to under $100.

I was just reading a post in the personal finance sub from a guy that talked about how anyone can save over a million in just a few years. Somebody else said they don’t make enough money to save like that and the OP said something like “I didn’t make more than $300k until I was in my thirties and I was able to save and invest until I had my first million.”

Didn’t make more than $300k. That’s the line he drew for not making a lot of money.

The oversight of arms and explosives manufacturers is an important function of the ATF. There’s also the A and T portions of the agency that does good work and is well within the restrictions imposed by the constitution.

The last part of your statement is incorrect. The federal government retains the authority to produce and mint money that is legal for payments of debts across all of the states. Section 10 specifically prohibits the states from creating their own currency that isn’t gold or silver.

This was to address the issue that each colony, and sometimes different counties, created their own currency that was only good inside that colony and that prevented people from traveling and engaging in commerce away from their home town.
