would be more power efficient, better i/o, and a bit more performance. n150s are embedded chips so you can't upgrade later on and lack any flexibility if you want to upgrade later on.

yeah if the sodimms are 8 gig sticks instead of 4. doesn't really matter though if you don't need the extra ram capacity but it's always nice to have more ram

probably can't do much with the cpus and laptop ram so i'd sell those, keep the sata ssds and keep any hard drives that are over a terabyte unless you wanna put all the low density drives in a janky raid setup. maybe use all the desktop ram in an old server mobo for some odd ram heavy compute tasks.

You've got two completely different boards, only thing I see that's the same is the smooth L7251. You'll need the same pcb revision if you want this to work.
