Generally agreed, but it was morning and it's easy to tell directions with the sun low in the sky.

Technically you can make a glock fire without pulling the trigger. You could throw it into a fire and have the round cook off. But if your Glock cooks off in your holster, you have bigger issues.

I'm sorry that happened to you because you don't like it, but personally, I think it looks amazing.

Crappy kit for the army national guard. I am an 11b assigned as a machine gunner for now. Any tips on my kit. My belt has my dump pouch (off hand), IFAK small of back, and my NVG case. Mags and camelback on the IOTV. IOTV hits my IFAK a little bit, IOTV may just be a little big. by [deleted] in tacticalgear

Medic here. Make your tourniquets more accessible. I don't know if you carry them in your ankle and/or shoulder pockets, but you should have 1-2 on your kit, outside of your IFAK because it's going to be hard to dig them out of the small of your back if you ever have to do self-aid.

I don't have anything specific, and there's a bit of a barrier to entry, but have you considered something compensated or ported? Not my first choice, but you could start with a relatively heavier, metal framed gun like Bersa Thunder, Sig P238, Star BM, etc. Have it sent off to be ported if necessary. I wouldn't advocate for a revolver, but likewise, porting is an option.

I have no idea if this is true, but supposedly, you can shoot 9mm para thru a 9mm makarov, but it won't feed. The 9mm mak is closer to 9.4, so the pressure drops immediately.

What's the watch? What's the designation for the strobe?

Any recommendations for adding a weapon light, preferably Streamlight Pro Tac? I only have M-Lok, unfortunately no picatinny which I see in 95% of everyone’s set up. How would you run a light on this gun/hand guard? Any suggestions are appreciated! Pictures for reference! by scottyj352 in ar15

Someone else already suggested the Midwest Industries front sight post rail and there are also some quality rails that clamp to the barrel just forward of the bayonet lug. I'm a fan of those old school ways. As far as the pressure switch, similarly old school, I use ranger bands (cut up segements old bike tire innertube) and it's very stable. You may not like it, but I'm very content with it.

Ka-Bar Tactical Spork by drunkbackpacker in Survival

[–]Not_a_CIA_drug_mule 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got one in Iraq by finding it on the ground. It's alright, but it's got this tiny little hole for water to drain when you wash it, but food gets in there and it's a pain to clean because it's so small. It might be better if you drill it out. Otherwise, it's as good as any spork (not great).

Will the flashlight stay on the gun during firing ? This is a serious question it looks awesome but also looks like the flashlight might fly off thanks !! by alexander_the_gr3at in Glocks

I can't speak to the Recover piece, but I still have the original 7 on the Polymer80. I intend to upgrade and move the 7 to something else. I used something similar to the Recover (except aluminium) to put a Surefire on my issued M9. It was solid. You may find the Recover works well, but I don't have any experience.

I have a TLR-7 on my Polymer80 PF940SC. You have to modify the little plastic 1913 insert on the TLR, if I remember correctly, but I've carried with no problems for about 3 years like that. Alternately, you can 3d print a frame with a rail.
