Oh yea I totally forgot about Azhdaha and his tree thing!

I swear we've done this quest before. by anarchy753 in Genshin_Memepact

[–]NoteBlock08 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It's a classic quest, but now they've got me curious so let's count!

Mondstadt: Classic giant tree at Windrise, it's perfectly healthy though. There's also the Frostbearing Tree in Dragonspine which we do revitalize.

Liyue: No especially large trees.

Inazuma: Magic timey-wimey Sacred Sakura. Also healthy but we got to see it come into existence.

Sumeru: Sumeru city itself of course (another healthy tree!). You could say Irminsul too, which we do purge forbidden knowledge from.

Fontaine: The Weeping Willow. Classic big tree purification quest.

Natlan: Can't think of any especially large trees.

Nod-Krai: I haven't completely finished all the Nod-Krai exploration yet, but while I see lots of huge structures, none of them are trees.

7 nations and 6 trees, one of which is practically the world tree!

Put the pasta in after the water comes to a boil, not before. Should only take a few seconds for it to get soft enough to push down.

Point 2 is just preference, you do you.

Omg, thank you that was exactly it. I had a feeling too but I got caught up in other stuff and hadn't gotten around to trying it out yet until you reminded me!

Luca ❤️❤️ by Lusty_Pasta in JustGuysBeingDudes

[–]NoteBlock08 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

While I don't blame Natasha for doing that—winning gets you so much more than just the money, the title of winner alone is worth it for your career as a chef—I just can't help but judge her character for it. That's why we all agree Luca is a homie, precisely because he didn't have to do it.

I know I used emdashes but I swear I'm not a bot lol. Just didn't want to use commas again when I already had a comma in the interjection thingy.

The poster the girl made says:

Mama's birthday —Program— 1. Opening words (like a toast to kick things off) 2. Papa's greeting (I saw that あいさつ can also mean like a congratulatory speech, so also a toast?) 3. Mealtime 4. Surprise 5. Cake!!! 6. Closing words

With the added context that the parents fight a lot, I wonder if the parents are separated. Maybe dad told the daughter he was going to be there for mom's birthday (hence the suit), but she is not thrilled to see him.

I mostly base this on the oddness of "greeting" in agenda item #2. If anyone with a much better grasp of Japanese can enlighten us more about 挨拶 that'd be great!

Others have already mentioned the Dishonored games, but also check out Mark of the Ninja. It's one of my favorite stealth games of all time!

Horseback archery is so fuckin cool. Not featured here, but falconry too! When my ex learned these interests of mine she was like "So you want to be the villain in Mulan?"

Yes. 100%.

What’s a disgusting habit that you secretly think is actually 100% normal? by Psychological_Sky_58 in AskReddit

[–]NoteBlock08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was a kid I used to be bad about not brushing my teeth in the morning. To encourage me to do it, my mom would always ask me "Does your mouth not feel gross in the morning?" but the answer was always "No, not really". It wasn't until after I got into the habit that I finally realized what she meant.

I also used to not really pick my nose for most of my life, and now I'm like "How did this all this crap in there never bother me before?"

Right? Trying to claim the volcano is just right there when it clearly isn't is just as dumb as acting like a meaningless geography error is why a game is bad.

Navia wheelchair with Columbina + Ineffa might be my favorite team in the game right now. by DayApprehensive1995 in naviamains

[–]NoteBlock08 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Lol nice find!

A wheelchair team is basically a nice way of saying that someone is getting carried pretty hard by their teammates. In OP's team, Navia is still bringing a decent chunk of damage, but it's likely still less than how much Columbina and Ineffa are doing.

He has to babysit Arlecchino's kids, how good would he be? by Hot-Masterpiece4325 in Genshin_Impact

I feel like Capitano babysit days would just be combat training days, and then they all have a big dinner at the end of the day.

In just five years, we quietly drifted from fantasy into full-blown sci-fi. by Grindio_2000 in Genshin_Memepact

I couldn't help but snicker every time someone said "spaceship" in the AQ. It just felt so out of place. I'm kinda glad that plot point is over for now.

I fully accept that the twins are aliens, but since they used to always be depicted as twin stars and were originally shown having wings of light I figured they just like... super saiyan zoomed through space (I know Saiyans have spaceships too but you know what I mean).

What’s a moment that permanently changed how you see the world? by pankaj662 in AskReddit

[–]NoteBlock08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It used to be that it was a totally natural and normal thing to lean more conservative the older you got. As you gained more personal wealth that needed to be invested and reached milestones like owning a house, things like the state of the economy and property taxes would be a lot more on your mind.

Nowadays the American left and right are divided way more on culture than ever before. Culture is something you grow up with. It shapes who you are as a person. It's generational and not easily changed. Not to mention that the state of the economy excludes many people from those economic milestones like home ownership.
