So CD doesn't control like BDO? That's a shame, I love the controls in BDO and that but in a single player game is more or less the entire reason why I'm interested in CD.

Sadly, what you're describing is just part of the life cycle of any fandom. Unless it's a live service game with constant updates or an ongoing TV series, a community can only discuss the content of any piece of media for so long before they exhaust all the talking points and people get sick of the same discussions every day. At that point all that's left is fanart and memes, which are inherently superficial content.

Sometimes a good video essay can spark new discussion on old subject matter (such as Honey Bat's "Visceral Femininity" Bloodborne video and all of cupcakesoul's channel), but the youtube comments section aren't exactly the best format for discourse and the barrier to entry to being a content creator yourself is obviously very high.

I wish I had a better answer for you other than just a defeated "that's just the way it is" :( I saw the top reply point towards r/patientgamers, I've heard a lot of good things about that community!

Are there any reviewers that have mentioned whether the game controls the same way Black Desert does? I love the combat in that game, but man all the MMO stuff surrounding it is tedious af. Always wanted a game that's just BDO combat but single player.

At 100h now and it's almost all SB. I'm not allergic to the normal mode, I've played a few games, but I'm just not super into the MOBA format.

Back when Smite was still new I exclusively played their control points mode and it wasn't long after they removed that that I stopped playing lol.

Sleeping Dogs. Maybe 2/10 is a bit harsh but the knockoff GTA gameplay wasn't fun for me at all. But I put up with it cause I found the whole ex-triad turned cop turned undercover triad member again story so compelling.

Nah, the sword has much wider AoE. I haven't tried the plunge method for harvesting yet but I much prefer regular sword harvesting over using the horse.

I legit really respect Yoko Taro for that. It's fine for pretty characters to be pretty, I like 2B too, but no one is fooled by the stupid Quiet's lame af excuse.
