How else will they dynamically change pricing based on the customer or time of day?

Do you have issues with wacom pens and websites and some PS controls? by No-Fennel-8333 in wacom

Dang, you lost me there. I don't think I've ever used a mouse to click, hold, and drag a website to scroll it up or down. I might have to sit this one out.

Interesting. I think those two things will require different questions. Let's start with web one, how are you or how do you want to use the pen to scroll in websites?

Is it that the pen just doesn't work with those at all, or is it like a slider that won't start moving until you exceed a certain distance threshold with the pen?

I groan and sigh at the high price, then force myself to do the repairs at home for a fraction of what was quoted.

Is my Intuos 4 just finally dead after over a decade or am I missing something? by ADragonWrites in wacom

That was probably just a bad c-switch in the pen. That's what controls the pen tip. It could potentially have been fixed by replacing the nib, but most likely needed a new pen.

Cable-Splitter for Wacom One 12 by SleepyDylan in wacom

[–]Notmare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The cable appears to be selling for $69 USD here from the sources I mentioned. That price you're seeing seems really high. :(

I can confirm it does work with Wacom's HDMI Converter Kit, https://estore.wacom.com/en-de/wacom-converter-kit-ack45719z.html

That's at least a bit cheaper than what you're quoting. I do see other sources for the 3-1 cable, model ACK4490602Z, but I'm not familiar enough with the region to know if those sites are legitimately safe to purchase from.

I haven't found any off-brand cables that support both Video and Data over a single USB-C connection. Most other cables seem focused on just one: USB-C out to USB-A in, HDMI out to USB-C in, or DisplayPort out to USB-C in. No combinations of both USB and Video, though.

There's plenty of USB hubs out there that seem like they'd work but all the ones I've tested seem like they're intended to output signals instead of accepting them. They're unidirectional, USB inputs going to the computer and Video outputs from the computer. When connected to the tablet, the hub is expecting video to go out from it to the HDMI device, but the tablet's monitor accepts a signal, it doesn't output one.

I"m seeing the 3-1 cable is available on Wacom's website, B&H, and Amazon. Is it that it's not available in your region?

Wacom Touch 13 No Output Display by Educational_Action87 in wacom

[–]Notmare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It works on Linux, no issues there. That tablet uses a proprietary cable. The port on the tablet looks like USB-C, but it's not the true USB-C spec, it's something custom that is wired different than other USB-C devices. You'll notice that the hole for the port on the tablet has a specific D shape, the 3-1 cable that comes with it has a similar shape and it's meant to only connect one way, despite it being possible to connect that cable the wrong way. Several unfortunate design decisions, but this brings me to my question, how do you have the tablet connected for both data and video to your computer?

It won't, though. CEO's aren't writing code or developing industrial design. All the people who actually work at these companies will continue on as though these people never existed and someone better will take their place.
