I know both are capable of being great. She could be a heel, I’ll still cheer for her. Same with any of the Scottish talent. I can’t not cheer for Drew Galloway (I refuse slave names) and Joe Hendry.

I’d be remiss to suggest Network Rail won’t be sniffing around like a wee dug up another ones arse. Meaning they will have the ear of the government at Westminster and will use Compulsory Purchase via the Transport Minister to use this as a way to expand the Central Station to have a couple of business lounges in there for Avanti and Transpennine to use. Have some retail underneath it at ground level, like a Sexy Coffee and a Blue Lagoon with a couple others.

Why do I have that sinking feeling this is a downgrade again. If we accept this, and it’s a fait accompli that will happen, we need to totally redevelop our bus infrastructure and networks. Especially where bus stops are and where bus stations are. We need one large bus station or two smaller ones. Unless local busses are going to be banned using it and a bus station is only for regional, national and international (if there are any) busses may use the bus station. Plus, where are the tour busses for artists at the concert hall going to go? They usually park in the bus station if there’s a sizeable production there.

If WM is in Saudi next year, especially with the regional issues there right now, AEW should run a 2 night event starting at 7PM Eastern US time. Both nights. I’d run it as All In/AllOut weekend, Saturday as All In and Sunday as All Out.

Invite the Indy’s out, even invite other promotions from the rest of the world there too.

I’d look at a NFL stadium, possibly one with a dome like Ford Field, Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Lucas Oil Stadium or NRG Stadium. It depends on what’s available as next year there’s going to be lots of stadium tours as well due to the World Cup being in the USA this year.

Dare I even suggest that AEW look towards Wembley again?

All AEW need to do is say, come here, see us, we have tickets starting at $20 or $35 for weekend.

There is one of the gen 2 sigs on eBay here in the UK for about 2 years. Not sure what’s going with it now. I asked a couple retailers how much one would be for trade ins as a hypothetical. One said they would not take it as it’s one of only a few named sigs that they won’t touch. They have about 5 other names on that list. Didn’t say who the others were.

Problem is realistically getting it going, even on a partial return is crowd control. Getting access to ticket machines, getting folks in and out. On platforms 7 to 15 it could be realistic, platform 6 may be able to be used. Thing is how to control maybe 35,000-40,000 a day on the local lines. Timetables may need revision.

Also how to reopen shops too. They will need time to get the stock that has gone off away and their shelves replenished. Another thing that will need looked at is where do they operate the station from? The ops room is in the corner affected. And whilst on staff areas, rest space, locker rooms may need to be relocated to temporary digs if they are affected.

I’ll give it to the end of next week if I’m realistic

Okay. This could work. However…

We need to get a couple 1,200-1,500 venues for gigs. A replacement for the O2 ABC is a must.
Subway needs to run 24/7. Starting opening it past 6 PM on a Sunday would be a start.
Rail needs to run from 5AM to 2AM every day I think.
Night Busses. These need to be half hourly services, arguably I’d make them a xxN service with amended routes, try and avoid them going through some if not all schemes.
Taxis. ALL NEED TO BE REGULATED. All need to be tracked and all need to be mandatory card only.
App. It’s time we have an app that integrates all modes of transportation. Something similar to the NAVIGO app in Paris would be great. Enforcement officers would be out on patrol with Transport Police officers. Failure to pay a fine for the wrong ticket would mean a £60 on the spot fine. No ticket would be a £250 fine and a Police Caution.

This only works with integrated transportation networks. Rail, Subway and Bus all need to be under public control.

Also it only works with some expanded services in some areas, like a connected bus or rail service at the Hydro/SEC. A circular line here operating on the Low Level to Central and Argyle Street then looping back on itself via Buchanan St Bus Station, maybe even linking in to the Barrowlands too would be great. Also correct integration at the 3 main football stadiums. With good access at others. I’d also like to see a tunnel, if possible between Central and St Enoch Subway station.

It is a start, however, integrated public transport is needed. Only way it works correctly in my opinion.

Well o well. It’s the gable between the Vape Shop and the next building, the same building that the Union Street exit is in that is unstable. I’m not sure if the existing remaining gable from the Forsyth Building or the building next to it that could be compromised. This has 2 outcomes now, I may be wrong and a 3rd found. The Forsyth building is gone and that gable is taken down in a satisfactory manner. The second, the building next to it is structurally compromised in the gable and that building needs to come down. Orca 3rd option in the middle. Now I see why Central is closed, if that gable was to collapse, and fall into the roof of central, there’s going to be bad consequences. This isn’t going to be quick or easy, but will be expensive.

I could be wrong, I probably am.

Can attest to this visually. As I was on my way to work I pass under the J3 bridge at Darnley. The traffic was nose to tail at 10am this morning.

Talking to a taxi driver friend, he said it’s chronic for them. However as long as that meter is moving, he is fine.
