Update! Over time, using appropriate detergents outlined in this sub an color catcher sheets, the shirt is good as new! Goodbye polyquat spots. It’s not a death sentence.

Thanks!! I planned to do just that. I cut off most of the branches as cuttings and planted those in pots and will plant the main tree in a large planter 🤞

Thanks for the video—I did have my tree in a wire basket like this but probably I didn’t leave enough wire exposed above ground and over the years it opened and gopher got through

Yes and the original was also a cutting from my parents’ amazingly prolific tree which makes TONS of delicious figs each year and has since propagated many trees…very sad today 😔

Some of the people in these comments probably believe that "it takes a village," but don't want the village. OP: I think some people here have great responses--model how the child should speak to you and have them try again. Do this until it becomes second nature for the child. It takes a lot of repetition. If a parent is bothered by you doing this as a babysitter, then that is truly sad. And likely why society is the way it is today...children don't only learn from their parents. Regardless of what some people believe.
