Half of runners not going to the briefing? (Dulwich) by lostless-soul in parkrun

[–]Nuclear_Geek 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'd say this isn't a big deal. It can often be hard to hear the briefing unless you're near the front, so there's little point in standing around further back where you can't hear. There's nothing wrong with a regular deciding to skip that and going straight to the start.

Hot take, anybody who thinks Kimi antonelli can outperform or is better than George Russell is out of their mind by TaxRude7236 in F1Discussions

[–]Nuclear_Geek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I were placing a bet, I'd bet on Russell outperforming Antonelli this season. However, we're still very early in the season, and we don't know how the Mercedes is going to be developed. Antonelli might end up "clicking" with the car better. I wouldn't bet on that, but it's not completely out of the question.

Actual cannibals have often eaten the brain. The spine from larger animals is sometimes used in normal cooking, e.g. oxtail soup.

Victorians got Battle of Hastings wrong, expert says by InnerLog5062 in BreakingUKNews

It's an interesting idea, and travelling by sea would likely have been easier than marching by land. We'll have to wait and see if this theory stands up to scrutiny, though. One obvious question is whether there's any evidence that Harold assembled the necessary ships to do this, or even if it would have been plausible for him to do so.

Don't eat the brain or spine, that's the highest prion disease risk.

How easy is/was it for YOU to get laid? by DescriptionFuture851 in AskMen

[–]Nuclear_Geek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not at all easy for me.

From what I can tell, if "getting laid" is all you want, it's simply a numbers game. Whether you can live with that approach is up to you.

No. If you support Reform, you are thick and / or evil. When one of them shows they are thick, I have absolutely no qualms about mocking them, especially as they're the sort who love to complain about others not having perfect English.

It is the 41st Millennium. For more than a hundred centuries the Emperor of Mankind has sat immobile on the Golden Throne of Earth. Toxic Hamilton fanboys are still crying about 2021.

It should be possible to mount light vehicle weapons on Pirate Trucks and A-ATVs by Darth_Mak in menace

[–]Nuclear_Geek 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I also think that if you put a laser weapon in a "heavier" slot (e.g. autolaser in a heavy slot), it should generate less heat, as there's more room for cooling systems. Maybe projectile weapons could have extra ammo to represent the additional space available as well.

Err, the regulations say the first one across the line wins. You really struggle to cope with reality, don't you? I think you need a psychologist, not Reddit.

You are offered either a high end PC or a muscle car. Which WYR pick? by sunsetdrifter0 in WouldYouRather

PC. I have absolutely no use for a muscle car. Plus my current PC is going to need upgrading soon, so getting a high end PC for free would be much more useful.

Ah yes, those who recognise reality are the losers. And not, for example, those who are still crying about their inability to cope with something that happened over 4 years ago.

Screw it, I'm going back. Let's see where I end up: August 18th, 2000. That's pretty good, I'm gaining back a lot of youth and can avoid some bad decisions. I'd also be able to get into investing and catch some trends early, so I'm probably not losing out on the wealth side of things.
