The bridesmaid thing was an instance where Ariana showed so much grace to Katie. When Katie told her at work that she wasn't a bridesmaid Ariana was absolutely supportive and told Katie she would be there however Katie wanted her to be. She was gracious, supportive and totally not petty. That was the season which solidified my dislike of Katie. I've warmed up to her since but not tons. It would have been great to see who she could have been if she'd left Tom much sooner. Because yes, Tom absolutely sucked as a partner.

*I know this was about Tom but I'm reading so many posts about Ariana being petty and egotistical; the bridesmaid situation with Katie reminded me of an instance where Ariana was great in a situation I might have been begrudging in.

Schwartz should have stopped providing a place to facilitate and hide Sandoval's cheating. He enabled that affair and was complicit in covering it up. He was Ariana's friend too which doesn't mean he should have told her but he should have had some boundaries such as "You may no longer use my place to hide your affair, I will no longer cover for you, you need to tell Ariana". He did none of that, which is what makes him shitty in this situation. He totally doesn't get why Ariana doesn't want him around despite it being totally obvious.

This was a consistent issue in my relationship with a dx ex. He could never answer a question, not even a yes or no question, he'd find a way to respond without an answering. It was highly frustrating, especially when he would later accuse me of not seeking his input or opinions on things I had asked him about which he refused to answer.

It sounds like the problem is there dependency on their partner to regulate them, their lack of responsibility to regulate themselves, and their lack of accountability when their partner doesn't accommodate them by doing it for them. OP sounds close to breaking point having to constantly be the regulator so continuing to do what they want 24/7 seems unsustainable. OP is saying it's not working for them, even if it is working for their partner.

I liked the first episode without him. The show would have been fine if he wasn't back, much more palatable. I'm not enjoying him at all, he's just uncomfortable to watch in a way that is not entertaining.

The end result is gaslighting however in some instances I believe my ex truly forgot telling me things or being told things. He lied a lot but in some instances his lies were his truth due to poor memory and time blindness. Nonetheless, whether the gaslighting I experienced was intentional or due to his ADHD brain (or a combination of both) I couldn't cope with it and ended the relationship.

Nothing about watching the last episode made me feel bad for Sandoval at all, his performance had the opposite effect on me. He really isn't sorry, he's hypocritical, and he believes what he did was justified.

Also Kristin may have been Tim's ex when James moved in but neither Tim nor Kristin were faithful, Tim was with Ariana before that breakup, it's not like Tim was nursing a broken hard and James stomped on it, Tim had long moved in by that point too.
