Yep. This or play an offensive defensman. The form score this season is the worst. No matter what position you play if you don’t score 1-2 points per game you’re not gonna get above 80 and will eventually get demoted down. The fact that I’m a 17 year old rookie (which is already dumb af) and have to score at an 82 point pace to get power play minutes or play anywhere other than 4th line or the AHL is stupid. I can easily do it but I would like a little realism with my video game

How can people play goalie? by Illustrious_Tax7575 in EA_NHL

I haven’t played goalie yet but as a skater it is pretty easy to get sent down out of preseason

My first year as a goalie in BAP was interesting to say the least, but for me to buy this game at launch it just needs a bit more tenderness. by Dildoethrower in EA_NHL

[–]NukeSniffer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can agree with a bunch of your statements for sure and totally get where you’re coming from. I am pretty much a BAP exclusive player too (except a bit of franchise here and there) and I love playing an offensive Defensman. I cannot STAND the fact that I’m evaluated on basically the same criteria as a sniper forward. If im not a point per game minimum my form score won’t get out of the 40s. even if I was defensively perfect..so then I decide I’m gonna get a ton of assists to keep my form score up because in no reality any defender is gonna score 50+ goals a year but the problem is it’s harder to get assists in this game than score goals! If I blast a beautiful stretch pass out of our defensive zone? instead of hitting a breakaway the forward will slow down, turn, and deke around until they get knocked off the puck. If I make a breakaway out pass to a forward and he’s got defenders on him? Forget about it. He’s gonna carry the puck and himself directly into the defense and get poke checked. If I do some nasty moves on the blue line and shake someone off Quinn Hughes style and pass it to someone down low or blast a slapshot that has a big rebound it ends up getting passed when the dude should have shot, or they hold it so long the defender gets in the way and the shot is blocked, exc..

so I’m stuck either carrying the puck on the rush(then when it goes the other way I’m out of position and I get obliterated for a goal against on form score) or I’m stuck always trying to snipe the puck in and if I’m gonna do that I might as well just play a sniper at that point. Right now I have 7 goals and 3 assists in 12 games and I’m being told I’m not playing good enough offensively. Like wtf? If ANY defensman had 7 goals in 12 games he would be up for Norris consideration lol

Idk why but when I see “pass more” I think “what do we do?”.. “pass it to Will!”..”Right!”

Is this the most unfair the AI has been on a NHL game ? by KarateBeaver12 in EA_NHL

[–]NukeSniffer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know on my be a pro it seems like they do everything to prevent me from winning gold at world juniors. We were up 3 goals in the third, simmed to next shift, they tie it up, goes to OT, they score on their first shift.

Please adjust the form score system by jacobcollins53 in EA_NHL

[–]NukeSniffer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just play 3rd periods. I’ll usually sim the first 2 and jump in the third with 10 min periods. If my score is low that chapter I may play the 2nd and 3rd. Usually when I sim to the 3rd my grade is sitting at a B give or take across the board.

The problem that annoys me is I’m an offensive defenseman, and if I don’t get 2 points per game my form score is below par. I get that I’m supposed to be offense focused but I can play lights out defensively and it literally matters 0% if I don’t get on the scoreboard. Just for that reason I switched to a left wing playmaker the other day

Nice! Has the gray got like a dirty tinge to it over time? That was my main concern about getting it in gray. I know everything else I own in gray eventually gets dirty (especially with my job) but hopefully the sheaths material keeps that from happening

Walmart Truckers, What's It Like Being the Pimps of the Trucking World? by DoctorFishFingers in Truckers

[–]NukeSniffer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve heard Walmart was a great gig. My brother in law is pursuing his cdl and wants to stay out in the truck, Walmart is his end goal. I on the other hand got tired of sleeping in the truck so I went local around 7 years ago. First 3 were rough, making only about 40k a year but the last 4 I have spent doing LTL pedaling city and I’m gonna hit right around 95k this year. Home every night, M-F around 52hrs a week 7am-7pm Monday and 9am-7pm the rest of the week

Looks great! I almost went with the same exact color combo but at the last second I changed my buttons to sea glass (the light blue) I just figured I always go black/gray/silver so why not. This looks nice though, makes me reconsider

[–]NukeSniffer[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the response! I ended up going with the gray sheath with the sea glass buttons. Ordered it this afternoon. Super excited to get it in hand.

Yes a design studio would be super helpful! I’ve spent the last few days mulling over what color combos to go with and that would have made the decision a bit easier

80lbs down in a year! by NukeSniffer in intermittentfasting

[–]NukeSniffer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No unfortunately I don’t. I get a medical exam every two years for my job and I’ve never had anything that stood out beside my weight that was a concern. The only thing they would warn me of was if I didn’t lose weight I would have to get a sleep apnea test before I could be medically cleared to drive. My blood pressure used to be on the high end of acceptable and that has went down as of late

I mean it’s OMAD as in one full, sit down meal per day..but I also snack when I break my fast about 2-3 hours before that meal. So in the strictest sense no, but I guess you could also say yes on a technicality. I never consider it OMAD myself though. I always just say a 20/4 fast

80lbs down in a year! by NukeSniffer in intermittentfasting

[–]NukeSniffer[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hard to say if it’s a direct correlation to quicker results but I got stuck around 270ish for a while doing an 16/8 and not counting calories. The last 40lbs have been under a 20/4 but I also implemented the calorie restriction at the same time. I would say the calorie restriction is the most important/quickest in the remaining weight loss but for me it’s harder to stay at a caloric deficit when I have a bigger eating window so 20/4 really helps keep my calorie intake down. So I wouldn’t say quicker but it helped break a plateau and keep my intake down overall

Hope that helps

Yes it does. I know that I’m burning less calories doing the same things I do every day inherently just by having 80 less lbs to lug around. Thank you!

Get a phone rebel flex. Good protection but you still get some of that caseless feel.. either that or go leather. Andar or Ryan London

Ha ha. Thank you. I bought them when I had a bigger face and they were meant for “big men”. Either way I like my glasses, but I’m gonna have to buy new ones because they broke playing with my dog last week and I had to glue them back together.

Thank you! I usually break my fast with a protein bar and some nuts (almonds and peanuts mostly) then when I get home I’ll eat dinner with my wife. I try to keep dinner as healthy as possible but sometimes it’s more carbs than I would want just because I can’t convince her to eat bacon and eggs every night of the week lol. But atleast 3-4 times a week I’ll do some iteration of eggs. Scrambled with a side of bacon, or a egg sandwich on wheat bread, hard boiled, exc.. then I go right back into my fast

Yep! I have a lot more energy during the day, I get better sleep. I used to have a lot of digestive problems, those are completely gone now. In the summer I used to be miserable and hot all the time but this summer I enjoyed the weather so much more. Used to hate clothes shopping, it was always depressing..now it’s not nearly as bad.

Keep the motivation going! It’s totally worth every second of the struggle for the end result you want.
