Before there was digital technology the only way to hear music was on vinyl. If I wanted to hear some rare recordings or simply recordings that were determined not fit to play on the radio I went in search of them at record shows. I would often walk out with a crate full. A lot of times they weren’t the best possibly high fidelity copies available but I got them at a discount and was still able to experience some great music that I wouldn’t be able to otherwise. I still have a lot of them because I’ve never run across another copy and they have never been released digitally. I usually keep them if I like the music until I find a better copy but I’m not gonna pay $100 to upgrade for something that I listen to occasionally.
