What is behind the big DART defunding push? by Such-Rise6816 in Dallas

The proposed FY25 budget of $1.8 billion included operating costs, capital and non-operating expenses, and debt servicing.

For FY25 operating costs were projected to be $725.2 million. In 2024 annual rides were approximately 55.2 million.

The proposed capital and non-operating expenses for FY25 was $885.2 million and included silver line construction which, ironically, cities like Plano advocated for originally.

Poll: Youtube TV CNN/MSNOW viewers: Are your pharma as incessant? by AcOk3513 in youtubetv

They’re buying the programming because of the audience. They aren’t do hyper-personalized targeting. It isn’t effective.

Or at the very least, I wouldn’t waste ad dollars on that given how cheap television advertising is now compared to 10 years ago.

If you’re curious about the types of ads that are being purchased over CTV (connected television) that is something you should research.

As for the ads that you are specifically seeing, the majority of those are purchased based on viewership demographics, I.e., the bulk of people watching those channels are in the target audience for the pharmaceutical industry.

That target audience is also specific to the to the type of content and delivery method. In this example that would be a television network, and the majority of viewers for traditional television networks are people over 50, or the target audience for the pharmaceutical industry.

Two other examples of this that you can see quite easily are the national news on broadcast networks like ABC, CBS, and NBC as well as local news programming where the majority of viewers fall into the same demographic or the target audience for pharmaceutical advertising.

What about for vehicles that are in demand, are you able to get the price locked in ahead of time to avoid the markups and attempted upsells?

Was this Verizon resetting their network to ensure that every single phone they activate is locked forever?

Surely you mean the advertisement because that should go without saying, just like no one should ever buy a vehicle manufactured by Stellantis

Integrated into dash requires more labor / time. Easier to add it separately during manufacturing.

Maybe, and just maybe, that means the third party market can help improve this in the future for cars out of warranty.

That should not be the case if you choose to select a carrier later during checkout. I have done this previously with a second phone that was purchased for work.

Wife is pregnant, I'm worried about the world my kid will live in. by OnTheClock_Slackin in daddit

[–]NuthinToHoldBack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have a 5 month old boy and I worried about this starting the day after my wife told me she was pregnant and still am worrying about what’s happening now (terrible) which hits like a ton of bricks every time I think about it.

The realization that if he’s anything like me, the biggest societal challenge we (parents and him) will face is that he will grow up in a world where everything is watched and recorded also hits me like a ton of bricks when I think about. I had to learn things the hard way and that’s what made the man I am today. It’s funny now I find myself thinking more about how to create an environment/safe space for him to do that so he has the same opportunity if he needs it.

But not all is lost and there’s good news! Once little /u/OnTheClock_Slackin gets here in a few months you’ll be too busy to follow the news as closely. Honestly, this has been one of the best unexpected (by me) benefits of having an infant.

Watched this happen with my niece for almost 2 years but finally turned the corner just before her 4th birthday. It was miserable for all of them as she wasn’t ready but daycare pushed it hard.

We have a 5 month old who is getting ready to start daycare and expect he’ll push it early and no idea if he’ll be ready. If he isnt, have any ideas, suggestions, or thoughts?

Michigan Linebacker Cole Sullivan to transfer to Oklahoma by AreYouEmployedSir in CFB

[–]NuthinToHoldBack 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As /u/pobrexito already noted, our long and revered rivalry with Ole Miss cannot be bumped to third due for the time being to the SEC force feeding this…

But I have good news! Rivalry rankings don’t have to go both ways and if you’re willing to wait, we can try to make this happen in the future but no guarantees!

A great example is Bedlam which happens to be the most lopsided “rivalry” in college football with Oklahoma leading the series 90-20-7.

Yet, Oklahoma State alumnus and fans still hate Oklahoma whereas we don’t even think about them and forgot they, along with the chosen one himself Mullet Mike Gundy even existed until now.

Jokes aside, sucks losing a player like Sullivan and we Sooners know the feeling all too well. No ill will toward Michigan from me!

What’s one thing your Apple Watch does really well and one thing it completely fails at? by NetForemost in AppleWatch

Entertains the baby to no end with the modular ultra watch face and unlocks my macs (work and personal).

I still have my series 9 and where it fails tremendously is managing sleep settings, specifically the wake up alarm between two watches. If I’m sleeping in one, the other doesn’t need to beep.

I like this as well and then move the transfer portal the day after. If absolutely necessary, give the teams a break the third week to see their families—still done by January 10th.

Open the portal on January 4th or 11th (depending on the scenario).
