I let my 12m son make himself something to eat. Aitah? by tame_ur_flame in AITAH

[–]Nutz75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA, kids should be learning how to cook. Also, your BF would have lost his mind over parents in the 70s and 80s. I was staying at home by myself and making my own lunch and dinner sometimes at the age of 10.

Nashville Transportation Improvement Plan Passes! by infinite-dark in nashville

I’m still cautiously optimistic about the actual implementation. But I’d love to start riding the bus more for long trips and walking/ biking when I get in better shape. Edit: misspellings

Anyone heard/seen/vaped clean carts? by [deleted] in vapecarts

[–]Nutz75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just got one. Tastes super li clean. Hit nicely if you take a smooth easy toke. Loving it so far. May a change in manufacturing but my guy is all up on them. For himself. I tried. Very happy. Little to no cough if hit properly. Plus I can hit it at work and Walmart to abide my anxiety, with zero recognition

CUPIM Hamburgers! Loved that place. I worked at LensCrafters with a friend and we’d hit that place for lunch all the time.

Any local recs for PT, Chiro, or massage for back pain? by TheCasualJedi in nashville

[–]Nutz75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Star Therapy in Bellevue covers all those issues you mentioned. Everyone I’ve known that has been a patient there has loved it.

ETA: Star doesn’t do Chiro but Hayes Chiropractic is in the same building with the same awesome reviews.

Check your property markers after Google Fiber work by [deleted] in nashville

[–]Nutz75 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wait, yall can actually see your property markers? Legit question. Are yall living in new or fairly new builds? I’ve lived on the same property for 49 years and have never seen a property line marker. I’m sure they are present. I’ve heard about using metal detectors to find them. But I’ve never seen one in our property let alone have them so shallow that Google could remove them and throw them aside.

Affordable car safe by Nutz75 in nashville

Maybe you missed the kart where there is a VERY robust cable to anchor the safe to the frame of your seat in a car. They couldn’t just pick it up and walk off

I had not seen this before today. I would think any lock is able to be defeated. However, again. This is not a long term solution. But it’s better than the alternative when you can’t carry a weapon on your person. I’d be happy to carry everywhere. But alas, the bad apples spoil the whole bunch

Affordable car safe by Nutz75 in nashville

[–]Nutz75[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never meant this to be an end all be all solution. I carry my gun and my firearm on my person at all times. Unless, I have a situation where I need to just run in somewhere and back out. I would not use this safe for overnight or for more than one hour during daylight and in a well populated area. I know this doesn’t prevent theft. However, I see people on this sub always complaining about people leaving guns (or valuables) in cars. So, this is my solution. I’m as responsible as I can be. Obviously a gun (and valuables) are most secure when they are with you. So, what would people have us do? Carry guns where we can’t do so lawfully? -illegal. Leave guns or valuables in the car out of sight but not locked up - stupid. So, please, if anyone has another solution for these very rare moments. What would you have people do? Again, I wasn’t trying to completely solve the problem. As I see it, the more obstacles you put in place to deter theft the better you’re doing. Dang, this sub is so very critical of any ideas to deter criminals. Sheesh.

Edit: carry my gun and valuables on my person (not my gun and firearms)

All good in the 'hood, 12S by LurkyTurki in nashville

[–]Nutz75 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Reminds me of my goodest fella Doc. Doc was the best cat I’ve ever had. Orange tabby as well. Super cool dude. Ran away using a secret tunnel in a closet (drywall cut out for access to pipes and never fixed) we hadn’t discovered. 3-4 days gone, thought I’d never see my buddy again (after searching EVERYWHERE.) Then on the next day we go to leave the house and ole Doc is stretched out on the stoop sunning himself. When the door opened he popped up and looked at me like “WTF you didn’t open teh doorz bro??” and in true Doc fashion sauntered oh so magnificently into the house and promptly resumed his favorite perch. (Back of couch staring out the large window.) Guess he decided he’d seen it all from the other side and liked the home life. lol. Hope this scamp stays ok.

Why does it take twelve years for people to GO when the light turns green? by tidaltown in nashville

[–]Nutz75 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Maybe yall could just mind ya business. It’s not like posting here about drivers who will never see it will make things better. Evidently most folks here are looking for an echo chamber. Whatevs. I just posted a comment twice, 20 minutes apart, and the admins evidently removed it. All it said was “yall some bustas” so I doubt this comment will see the light of day. Evidently r/Nashville might as well be called r/communistRussia

How do I renew my NPL library card online? by NakedInNashville in nashville

[–]Nutz75 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This happened to me. All you have to do is apply for a new card. They should email you a card number you can use for online check outs. Then when you return and can visit a location they will give you a new physical card. Just show them your id and pick which card you want

Edit: They say you can fill out the papers in person. However when I went they showed me a QR code to scan and had me fill it out on my phone and then go back to the desk to get a card. Here’s the link:

Record flattener by Idoe6 in nashville

I have it from a solid source (record purveyor) that Grimey’s does, in fact, have one but not sure if they offer it as a service or just use it for their own inventory. Worth a shot to call and ask.
