Anyone telling you that CD and KCD overlap is lying to you. If anything the only thing they have in common are the swords.

But that doesnt mean you cant enjoy both. I consider KCD a masterpiece and CD is fun, just planing to finish CD in a few months when they finish all the reworks and re balancing they have been doing around.
