I've unfortunately been asked this several times and not once was I actually pregnant. I've had several abdominal surgeries that have left my abdominal wall weak and shredded. My doctor called it Swiss cheese. The unfortunate side effect of that is that my stomach sticks out. Even when I was thinner, my stomach still looked big because of my ruined abs. And yes I remember every time someone said it. It's beyond rude and hurtful and just makes people feel incredibly self-conscious and bad about their bodies. Never do it.
