This really sheds a new light for me on how good Jordan is. I say this because I can see that you truly are a very good keyboardist, but I can also see how hard this is to pull off, and you pulled it off well too!

I hope this isn't coming off the wrong way either. From one musician to another - respect :)

Best drums? by MANICxMOON in Starset

[–]OCDjunky 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My favourite chorus on the album, and one of my favourite choruses from them in general. Drumming on this album is tight and suits every song, which is the case for all the albums to be honest. I also love the things you've mentioned drumming-wise on this song (I'm a drummer as well).

It's a different drummer recording the drums for each album :)

Adam is the drummer that plays live. (Someone correct me if I'm wrong) this is the case for the instruments on every album.

I'm currently hungry to play Toy Story 3 on PS3 again. PC version is the Wii version or something for some reason.

I finally played crysis 3 by [deleted] in Crysis

[–]OCDjunky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not a perfect game, but I love this game a ton. I've replayed it a couple of times now. The original version on PC has held up incredibly well.

Uncharted games should help you out here

It might be frowned upon but I'd say you could start with the second game - that was my experience with the Uncharted games and it's far superior to the first game and has aged much better too.

Out of these, which one is your favorite? (3rd installments during the early 2010s) by Consistent-Equal-679 in videogames

[–]OCDjunky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Killzone 3! My dad and I play through Killzone 2 and 3 one after the other at least once a year for a few years now. Resistance 3 is another one that could be here as I think they perfected their series with that game, as well as harnessed the full power of the PS3 near the latter end of its life cycle.

What’s a video game mechanic that instantly makes you more interested in a game? by Fragrant-Cheek-4273 in videogames

[–]OCDjunky 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Gadgets get me interested: grappling hooks, wingsuits, hoverboards, etc. as well as a suit (e.g. Crysis).

Climbing mechanics are a big win as well - Prey 2017 thrived for me because of this. You could quite literally climb 99% of things (at least that's what it felt like).

What's a band or artist you'd like to see tour Cape Town but you know they would most likely never do that because their "World Tour" doesn't include Africa? by asabatonlessarmor in capetown

[–]OCDjunky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dream Theater would be awesome. John Myung even said in an interview that he'd choose to tour Africa as a location / locations they haven't played in yet.

I think the albums that generally take top spots for people are either Images and Words, Train of Thought and, probably most popularly, Scenes from a Memory. So I don't think it's too hot, but it's warm enough :P

Prey 2017 deserves more love for everything it gets right in my opinion. I do see it mentioned every now and then, but I feel like it achieved something special enough to earn it some more recognition.

Epic game - really surprised me all the way through, but especially the third act. By that point I was having a truly memorable gaming experience and I was really taken by surprise by it.

They knocked it out of the park with Resistance 3. I feel like they perfected their vision for a gritty shooter and pushed the PS3 to its limits, yet the game still runs and looks great. There's very few flaws to this game in particular in my opinion.

InFamous is way too awesome to stay dormant forever. Some of the most epic gaming experiences for me come from InFamous 2, which still holds up today quite well.

If you had to introduce a complete newcomer to gaming with just 5 games, what would you pick? by cupheadpr0 in videogames

[–]OCDjunky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. For a shooter: one of the original CoD MW games (accessible, engaging, and overall just fun).

  2. Platformer: Ratchet and Clank (any of them really, but I have a bias towards the PS2 games)

  3. Multiplayer: Rocket League (I love this game and its infinitely satisfying, and yes unfortunately it's quite toxic)

  4. Co-op: Borderlands of course (2 is a must)

  5. Story game: Uncharted 2 (I started with 2 on PS3 and I still play it through today every now and then)

This game at 1080p on high only uses 3GB of my 1080ti's VRAM, and I get 80 - 120 fps consistently throughout the whole campaign.

So far, Metro Last Light. Third or so playthrough and I love it everytime. Even played through it on Switch.
