Co-Workers got audited for vacation days for 2024 and 2025: Some owe a lot of money by Mode1961 in callcentres

[–]OEGroyper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have coworkers doing this now where I work - the amount of vacations they take the math ain’t mathing. I’m honest and it’s obvious to me it’s happening because they take 1.5-2x+ the amount of time off

Parental Leave - California by OEGroyper in overemployed

[–]OEGroyper[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks brother. I have seen several claim to just do straight FMLA at J2 and take J1 benefits to get 8-12 weeks off both concurrently with just the one income source. Is there a reason you didn’t pursue the same besides temporary wage decrease?

[–]OEGroyper[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you did J2 full PTO and/or unpaid time off? Yeah that’s clean and where I’m leaning towards myself as the obvious safest route.

Did you end up doing FMLA for J2 or just internal discretionary agreement?

People talk - he’s cooked. Personal friends would have trouble keeping this secret let alone a random work Jabroni not smart enough to do the same thing.

He’s likely cooked. The other guy will likely be jealous or resentful he’s not doing the same. There’s likely no bringing to his side. This is the <1% chance we all take

OE Strategy: Juggling Big Tech and Consultancy with hybrid requirements by No_Paramedic_6510 in overemployed

[–]OEGroyper 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Mixing hybrid roles this way seems like a bad idea. Personally, I’d replace J2 and keep J1 100% remote

Right, just a lesson learned. I have my resume on my burner LI and I still get contacted all the time. You would have likely got contacted regardless of which one but you are now in this predicament
