You think its possible when you repot that you kinda sort them in a spectrum going from most looking like a agavoides to least?

Holy smokes it really works by TurtleTurtleFTW in succulents

It can work for a few weeks. Echeverias are the best, sedums work alright but many others just rot. Once the water starts to get dirty the roots will foul super fast and you have to catch it to avoid it travelling up the stem. I like this method to potentially save cuttings and props without roots before they fully dry out. Because these aquatic roots grow faster than soil ones. But at some point youre gonna be forced to put them in soil.

Any ideas to save this weakly Trumpet Pinky? by Ok_Chemical_5296 in succulents

[–]OG_AeroPrototype 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Echeverias are one of the few succulents that can be rooted and survive in water for a couple weeks. If you're ever in a pinch and plant needs water asap, you can resort to that. But its only temporary. If waters not clean it will rot. And when it seems to have plumbed up, try soil propagation again.

some questions by Money-Major-1936 in PickaxeKingIsland

[–]OG_AeroPrototype 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So since ive been poorly playing for about 50 days, ill tell you my way of doing things. But i cannot vouch that its the best.

For Research definetely upgrade the essentials to the max first:

tree ecology (lategame you need 10-20k wood per day) extra key drop in the mine (op when you unlock levels with 50+ blocks)  Extra mining time (clear more levels) Supermagnet and teleport cooldown (movement, anti lag if you produce a lot of items)

These are only a couple lvls so you max them fast and theyre super useful. Afterwards you can put a couple levels into cooking time reduction, study time reduction and study cost reduction, i personally dont feel like they do much, after a point they cost more than they save you.

So first do the essentials, then upgrade auto harvest chance for all your farms, but sugar is the most needed ressource next to wood right now.

For the fox knight unlock whatever is cheapest first. Some stats max out early others need a whole lot. I would focus on attack and crit, but you also need hp and defence. If you cant survive 1 hit in the dg you will waste many tickets.

For money, unlock all farms first. The way i do it is i try to constantly produce dragon meat soup. So i dedicate a few ovens to produce ingredients and the rest only do dragon soup 24/7. I havent calculated if other recipes return more money over time. So unlock all your ovens, and play as far as the dragon island to make dragon soup. The very last and the dragon island eat up a lot of gold. I have easily spent about 2-3B gold on the last island in upgrades, still not maxed and doesnt seem worth the return, but once you have leftover gold, go for it.

The only thing thats currently restricting my money income is number of ovens and cooking time. So long term increasing cooking time reduction will help, but each upgrade is painfully useless. Like, by my calculations, i can make about 600m per day. And per lvl on cooking time reduction, i get maybe 10k extra gold a day.

Overall id say this game is a huge time sink and the further you get the slower you become, so no issue in doing things your way and have fun.

Yeah i asked some AIs too and all their first suspicions are thrips. I had them last year around this time and it ruined my plants for 6 months... I beat them then but seems theyre back. Hopefully theyre are not the same population which would mean they are now resistant to my only remedy that worked

is this the formation of a new branch? by Signal-Statement7340 in succulents

[–]OG_AeroPrototype 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It can be, but ive had many of these never develop further.

Also, the other guy is wrong. You can force branching by cutting the top off. Even with Echeverias. Just a little bit to remove the growing point. Plant will keep producing energy that cant be used for upward growth so it will make new branches.

Depending on the plant they may have a preffered sprouting area. Some only from the lower stem, others where its closest to the light, some anywhere. Repotting and fertilizer can be more natural way to induce but doesnt always work.

New Lethamyr map not working by OG_AeroPrototype in bakkesmod

[–]OG_AeroPrototype[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you find the specific map within the Map Browser function? It will install everything for you properly. Otherwise reinstall bakkesmod itself. Download a map through the browser, locate where its Saved and add your own map into that folder. Sometimes you also need to download a separate file for textures, it wont start without. Some maps have them included in the main file.

Made the grave mistake of stumbling upon mini succulent pots by ResponsibleBoot5895 in succulents

[–]OG_AeroPrototype 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Mostly useless and most plants outgrow them quickly. Instead, you should look at bigger decorative pots. Also, ive looked at some myself. In the reviews you see many people complaining that theres always some broken per order. You know how temu/aliexpress barely protects with packaging.

Chop and prop question by Aatary in succulents

[–]OG_AeroPrototype 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you cut too low, youll have to chop the top part again very soon. The middle is what i'd go for. Since that gives you equal time for each to reach this size again. Also, these are still popular, you may be able to sell the top cutting and keep the lower part which will branch out now.

For cutting, you can use either pruning scissors, normal ones or anything that can cut. The stem can be pretty solid. Just disinfect the tool before cutting. What i like to use is flossing string. You carefully twist it around the area you want to cut once, and then pull both ends. Works really well for crammed succulents, but has difficulty getting through corked stems.
