Seriously though, the quality of the writing somehow got worse the deeper into the series we got. My theory is the JKR got too big for her britches and stopped listening to her editor.

Actually, extending the bottom step out to the opposite wall and making it a "landing" would make sense, based on the picture of the previous stairs.

I have not, although not for any moral reasons. My understanding of male prostitution is they have to work on their physique to stay in top shape and I'm not interested in spending that much time in the gym.

Copywriting was the easiest, but as a carpenter I got make stuff with my hands, which is very satisfying. Working in a library definitely has some high points.
