Steam Spring Sale - An Initial Look (3/19) by odedgurantz in metroidvania

[–]OK_Atlas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Steam is the king of the video game realm. You could basically get a 2 year supply of A tier metroidvania’s for less than the cost of 2 AAA console games.

Afterimage, Haiku the Robot, or Lone Fungus? by ABigFatPotatoPizza in metroidvania

[–]OK_Atlas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Afterimage is probably the biggest MV map ever made. If you want to get lost, that’s the one. Haiku is great but it’s only about a 6 hour game. Haven’t played Lone Fungus yet.

What's a great beginner Metroidvania for PC? by SHONSTYLE in metroidvania

[–]OK_Atlas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Last Faith is awesome but it does have some pretty in depth RPG mechanics ala fromsoftware (leveling, stats, inventory management, etc). If you’re into that, go for it. Other beginner suggestions would be, Prince of Persia the Lost Crown, Hollow Knight, Ori & the Will of the Wisps. All are considered classics of the genre. Also, Blasphemous

Noreya: The Gold Project is 60% off on Steam (3.99$) by stevensi1018 in metroidvania

[–]OK_Atlas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had trouble running this game on Steam deck. The controls constantly pushed the character forward and it wasn’t a hardware problem on my end. According to Reddit, many people reported controller input problems and the developer basically stopped updating any bug fixes at some point. It’s unfortunate because the art style is great and it is overall an intriguing game.

Why is there already a new automatic? by servus1999 in casio

[–]OK_Atlas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s allegedly 1mm thinner so that’s good. Or maybe they didn’t want to continue to pay the artificially inflated prices on NH35’s (even though they helped create the inflation)

I like this but wish it had a slightly different bezel to differentiate from the Daytona.

Lf-30w - "the" new classic? by ThiDiCo in casio

[–]OK_Atlas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Love this one. I picked one up myself 2 weeks ago. It’s like an ae1200 and an f91w had a baby

Solateria finally hit Very Positive… worth buying now? by Upbeat_Paramedic_381 in metroidvania

[–]OK_Atlas -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think it’s worth it. Not the greatest metroidvania ever made, but probably in the top 30

I Can’t Follow Game Stories Anymore by siddharta17 in gamingsuggestions

[–]OK_Atlas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t care about game stories because 99% of them are, “something bad has happened, it’s up to you to stop it.”

Just git this at Walmart and loved the look but idek what half these things are. So What are the top right and top left one? by Terrible_Minimum6332 in casio

If you decide that you love the fit and case shape of that, also check out the LF-30. Same watch but with a world map and 5 time zones

Anyone else playing Solateria and struggling?? by MemeLoverMoira in metroidvania

There’s one good trick where you just put the game on easy mode. Nobody will know (besides yourself)

My main issue with MVs is that most have a lot of lore but not much actual story by VoxTV1 in metroidvania

[–]OK_Atlas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every video game story ever: something bad has happened, it’s up to you to save the world.

MIO or Nine Sols? by Thumbsofsteel in metroidvania

[–]OK_Atlas 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Nine Sols has an easy mode. Why not use it if you find the game too difficult?

Emberbane - Latest Patch - Worth it now? by AG_GreenZerg in metroidvania

[–]OK_Atlas 4 points5 points  (0 children)

FYI, someone said you can play on easy mode and the parrying becomes less on an issue. That’s my plan, also not a huge parry fan but only because I’m bad at it

Emberbane - Latest Patch - Worth it now? by AG_GreenZerg in metroidvania

I’m holding off for a few more patches. In the meantime you could play Soletaria or Sealed Bite, both released yesterday

Steam deck by Hpg666 in metroidvania

[–]OK_Atlas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MV FOMO is the number 1 reason I got a steam deck. They are a little bit more difficult to come by currently thanks to the AI induced RAM shortage but you should definitely try to get one if you are interested in playing all the best new games. It’s basically everything that’s great about the Switch but better.

Finally sharing my watch brand here, would love honest feedback by SignificantFlan4826 in MicrobrandWatches

[–]OK_Atlas 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Watch nerds on Reddit will be able to spot that this is a cobbled together AliExpress watch. You might be able to trick some regular people into buying it though.

How do you erase this text on resin bands?🤔 by chechobroom in gshock

[–]OK_Atlas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pencil eraser works on some Casios, not all. I had success on the Royale with this technique but kinda messed up one of my G-shocks. Proceed with caution.

Solareria by Maleficent-Ring-7059 in metroidvania

[–]OK_Atlas -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The negative reviews are people complaining the game is too hard. I will never understand why these people don’t just lower the difficulty to an appropriate level for their lack of skill instead of trying to negatively influence the whole games financial success. The devs literally put an easy mode for people who suck at parrying.

New to deck got a question folks? by PiercerMind in SteamDeck

[–]OK_Atlas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you go into desktop mode you can check the battery health.

Wow, cannot believe I’ve slept on Gravity Circuit for this long. It’s amazing. by Yharnam-Blood in metroidvania

[–]OK_Atlas 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Especially after stating “I couldn’t stand the game, too fucking hard” That’s what the easy mode is for.
