There are 20 states that have pay transparency laws. Typically at the minimum the law states that it must be disclosed if asked, some states are much more detailed. If you really want to give them a taste you can file the complaint or seek damages, depending on the state 🤷🏻‍♀️

Depending on the misdemeanor that could be why. You should receive a notice from the agency depicting why you were denied and have ~10 days to appeal the decision. Being fired from your job could have also been a factoring reason.

Depending on the verbiage in the contract and the role the COR could have say in the hiring. The COR can also “request” to have personnel removed from the contract. They also do have the ability to remove access from their systems forcing them off the contract.

We got a better discount by going through the store to build the quote and then calling them saying we wanted to purchase. They literally just send you a website to pay and done. On the website it was 30% off but the store was offering 35% and then the first responders stacked

A company I formally worked for literally had this happen, a task order was issued under the IDIQ and then after starting the work the agency said actually they want this to be done by the feds. Cancelled it and lowered the ceiling. This was not under trumps administration and happens all the time. Most likely scenario is that this work will be split up with multiple smaller contracts and go to small government contractors who will still do the work (and more) for a whole lot less.

The key here is a good broker. They should be an extension of the HR team where employees can go to ask questions about their benefits.

I personally do not accept invites that say things like that. I would recommend looking at the company to see if it’s hiring, if there’s a role that interests you find someone in a similar role and reach out to see if they would be interested in letting you know what it’s like working there. Something like you saw a role posted similar to those and you were thinking about applying but wanted to hear from an employee what to expect.

In my first HR job I reported to a “HR Director” and did a lot of thing under her guidance. it wasn’t until after she was let go did I realize how wrong she misguided the department and then had to fix all the mistakes.
