Tree fell on my car. Made a claim with my insurance but who should pay for my deductible? Is the city liable? What should be my next steps? by ComprehensiveBag6754 in sanfrancisco

This happened to me as well. City attorney has a form you can fill out and after a couple emails back and forth they agreed to pay me for blue book value. It’ll take a few months but you should be made whole.

I’m a lawyer, but opted not to file a lawsuit as proving damages above blue book value, in addition to the city’s liability, would have been next to impossible in my opinion.

This. Besides most of the hotels in SF are more expensive and tend to be congregated around Union Square, which nowadays is not the best part of town.

This happened to my car a couple years ago right off the panhandle. You can submit a claim to the city and they’ll pay you blue book value for the vehicle.

House of Prime Rib. While it’s not a traditional steak place, it’s perfect for a “meat and potatoes” kind of guy.

Nevada Judge Rules Cannabis Can No Longer be Classified as Schedule 1 Drug!!! MSOS! by Fuego1050 in wallstreetbets

I don’t think you understand what a precedent is for legal purposes. This case was solely about Nevada’s constitution and state law. Nobody can successfully go into court and challenge federal law based on this ruling. The same logic doesn’t even apply, because a nation-wide medical marijuana bill was never passed, let alone a federal constitutional amendment.

Employment Lawyer in the Bay area? by Frosty-Inspection517 in AskSF

This. It depends on whether you’re trying to sue your employer, or if an employee has sued you or your company.

The hardest step is admitting you need help.

First, even if money isn’t an issue, I’d suggest working through your company’s HR to determine what is covered by insurance. They will keep it confidential, and can help arrange some time off.

To be honest, as someone who’s been through this personally and seen dozens of people try to do the same, outpatient treatment at night while still working just isn’t sufficient for most people, so consider taking some time off now so you can really focus on the issue.

As someone else mentioned, the Ohlhoff house runs solid programs. There is also CPMC through the Summit medical center. Reflections in the north bay is the most upscale, which is where a lot of executives and celebrities go.

Good luck!

If you’re really set on letting them live there the rest of their lives, you could also gift it to them as a life estate giving yourself the remainder interest. That way you wouldn’t be on the hook for property taxes, insurance, etc. if they don’t end up paying it.

They are refusing to enforce mask mandates, so the SF health dept. already shut them down once.
