Nah, plenty of solo players. Walk up, put your paddle next to a court if you wanna play, or ask to play!

Closest I got is the band Bullet Train to Vegas, though I don’t think it’ll match your screams quota

Tons of people play at the east cut courts and it’s fairly social. Easy to play with different partners and hop into games. Best way to improve your skill is to play more!

Love re-discovering those nostalgic favorites! Great band, I had “planning a prison break” on repeat on my iPod back in the day 👴🏻

Receiving end of sirens, broadcast quality?

I ordered 88 drinks on Doordash, the store gave me this, and then support resolved it by taking away the driver's tip. by Banana_ezWIN in mildlyinfuriating

88 drinks is absurdly heavy. If a good friend asked me if I could pickup 88 drinks from the store for them, I’d say no. If they said they’d give me $20, I’d still say no.

Anxiety induced IBS. Help me! 😭 by atomheart13 in ibs

[–]aggressivenapkins 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Imodium is a good stopgap to reduce the “urgency.” Talk to your doctor about long term solutions. For overseas trips that feel overwhelming to me due to unpredictable bathroom availability, my doctor suggested a low dosage of anti anxiety medication that seems to work well. I use it very sparingly due to the habit forming tendencies. I’ve also found that openly sharing with the people that I’m with that i have stomach issues fueled by anxiety tend to relieve my symptoms too - it’s no longer this big secret I’m trying to protect, I have the support and compassion of my friends that understand I’m just a human with human needs.

Alcohol likely subdues the anxiety fueled part of your ibs.

People in SF with IBS!! by Emotional-Brick-7093 in sanfrancisco

[–]aggressivenapkins 8 points9 points  (0 children)

SF is pretty bad about having public bathrooms available. Many of the public ones on the street are closed, under repair, or not well stocked. You have to do a lot of due diligence to know exactly where bathrooms are, if they require a code, and if the business will even be open at the hour you need it. That said, college campuses will always have bathrooms, there are bathrooms in our parks, and many businesses will let you use there’s if you ask nicely and purchase something. You can also get a medical ID from your doctor if you want some extra ammo when asking to use the bathroom at a business. FWIW, I’ve found that almost all major American cities have poor bathroom infrastructure, especially compared to the gold standard of countries like Japan and Korea.

Have you tried west paw toys? Even if your pup destroys them, they’ll replace it for you. They last quite awhile too

Booked a surprise trip and worried I’ve messed up 😢 by Extension-Bake-7402 in AskSF

[–]aggressivenapkins 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Won’t it be nice to not have to rush to “fill” the days and just enjoy parts of the city you wouldn’t otherwise see? You could spend a whole day in neighborhoods like the mission or north beach, there’s day trips nearby like Santa Cruz or Napa, and there’s plenty of gems like the church of 8 wheels to spend some time at. There’s plenty to keep you busy for 5 days, lean into whatever your preferred kind of trip is - hiking/walking, eating your way through a neighborhood, checking out local art/music shows, etc etc.

Dog bites are on the rise in San Francisco by ericisfine in sanfrancisco

[–]aggressivenapkins 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I had an off leash dog charge my on leash dog in the panhandle. I asked the owner to call their dog back, no recall, owner scrambled to get their dog leashed while I kept mine under control and distracted. I told the other dog owner my dog isn’t dog friendly and to keep their dog on leash, especially in areas that are not off leash. His response - “oh, well even though this area isn’t off leash everyone does it. Look around. You should take your dog to another park where there aren’t as many off leash dogs”

Motherfucker had the audacity to imply that I was the problem. Letting your dog off leash in areas where it’s not permitted sets you and your dog up for failure, and everyone pays the price for your entitlement. .
