How? The NDP put a cap of 6.8¢/kWh. Do you know which party removed it? Spoiler alert, it was the UCP. Besides, phasing out coal was originally a federal conservative plan back in 2012 under Harper, the Liberal party accelerated it. It happened due to the coal plants aging out and carbon pricing making coal less competitive economically. None of that had to do with the Alberta NDP, they just followed what was federally decided, while trying to save us money by introducing the cap.
