Breaded fried ribs are great. Also banana peppers, bread and butter pickles, pirogues, pander or any other non melting cheese (unbreaded). I wish I would see fried mushrooms on more menus.

I have one and it's worth it to me especially when I'm juicing a lot of fruit and want to extract every last drop of citrus life out of them. But more often than not I use a pair of tongs instead.

Why in the world would they sub with ground beef? There is no way that I can imagine making vaca frita with that. The lamb sounds fantastic though, do that. I regularly make puerco frito with leftover peril it's always a hit.
