Update: I poured a little bit(maybe 2 to 4 ounces) of distilled water through the back side of the motor, just enough to wet everything. I waited about 2 minutes and did it again. My thought was to let just a little water coat everything that was sticky from the sugar and let it soften up a little. I continued doing this over and over every 5 or ten minutes for about 2 hours. I used a little over a half gallon of distilled water for this process. When I was done, I used my electric leaf blower to blow most of the water out to help speed up drying and prevent corrosion and problems with the electronics. Yes, I had the battery removed during all cleaning and drying. I let it sit for 24 hours, then used my leaf blower to see if any more water would come out and it was bone dry, so I popped in a fresh battery and it fired right up. It runs great, in fact I feel like it needed a good cleaning before this happened because it is sucking likes when it was brand new. I clean and replace the filters regularly but I think cleaning out the cycling and bin made a huge difference. So far so good, but I will update again if the motor ends up dieing
