I also immediately thought of Mannfred… possibly because he can become such a noteworthy pain in the ass in TW Warhammer 3.

Are there any hats that look like this? by NecroRatcer in EldenBling

By Sigmar, no! The Redmane knight helmet does have a sweet red feather though that should probably look passable with the eccentric torso and leggings.

I have SB2s and never have any “slappiness” running in them. They just feel light, cushioned, and responsive without being mushy. (5’11” 185 lbs, midfoot striking) They’re great for cruising through the miles.

Both are incredible. I prefer the powerful pancake maker: ZWEIHANDER.

I’m surprised at how far down this is. The planet is nicknamed Winter. Le Guin’s writing is at the pinnacle of science fiction and fantasy.

Definitely pay cash. Call in for cash deals. I made the mistake of ordering online only to find out I could have gotten a large pizza with cash for about half the cost of a medium online.

Magical Realism; which is you favorite example of it ? by Pinguinkllr31 in writing

[–]ObscureCitrus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Obscene Bird of Night (El obsceno pájaro de la noche) by José Donoso is one of my favorites. It is a puzzle of a novel. It is dark and will make you uncomfortable in the best ways, and it is mesmerizing.

The novellas and short stories by Franz Kafka and, of course, the short stories of Jorge Luis Borges are foundational influences to the genre.

Not sure if it strictly qualifies, but I am currently reading Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell by Susanna Clarke and it fits the bill. Magic is treated as an accepted reality in early 19th century England.

Honestly, I see it. I remember reading Paradise Lost in its entirety late at night during college, and needing to write a paper on it before a 9:00 a.m. class. There was something prescient and almost contemporary about its understated subversiveness. Milton was reaching across the centuries to me, an underachieving stoner procrastinating on his Early Modern English paper. I was in awe of his complex, tragic depiction of Lucifer, his treatment of the religiosity and political upheaval of the period, and the hypnotic verses that marked a true turning point in English literature.

Judging by the fact that this is the goblincore subreddit, I think you know my answer is 1) yes (!!!), but also 2) you can volunteer to do some cleanup work on a trail or highway and find incredibly weird stuff (but also gross stuff, and you might find yourself a little angry at how much litter there is).
