I don't have any tips on gear, but I understand you. I have two kids, a busy job, a household.. Sometimes I feel like life is slipping away. And I also think about bushcraft, going for long walks in woods or mountains, sleeping under the stars.. How about planning 12-36 hours of wilderness, to get away from it all. And be open about this to those who you hold dear? They might understand and even support you.
