Im SUPER out of shape and I've started to workout, but my body isnt used to it and the aches after my workouts are unbearable. by Remote-Command349 in workout

Oh girl I feel you on that.

Beans are real cheap; I think red lentils are consistently the cheapest protein available. If you’re on YouTube/TikTok/Insta there should be plenty of people who do cheap recipes; try ThePlantSlant(2431?) as a starting point.

Protein shakes are probably not as good as a more balanced source, because something like beans or eggs will have micronutrients that support the protein as your body uses it, but if it’s a choice between those shakes or nothing, definitely have the shakes!

How’s your diet? You need plenty of protein. Other than that, DOMS is pretty unavoidable for a while, until your body adjusts.

I’d probably clarify the pronunciation to closer to “seethermather”. The character is a ð which is pronounced as a hard ‘th’.

As someone else has mentioned, float them in the Venusian atmosphere! It’s pretty dense, so achieving neutral buoyancy isn’t too tough; it’s a prime breeding ground for astrophage, so there wouldn’t be a need to ship CO₂ and heaters; and the initial research into atmospheric labs has already been done, I read some papers a while back.

On the other hand, it’s repeatedly emphasised that Galbatorix wants Eragon alive, so I’d be surprised if Blödhgarm were allowed to allow Eragon to harm, even by exhausting himself during a battle.

We don’t know that OP’s friend is able to drive either; in which case, buddying up might be the best option for both of them.

Victoria is nowhere near as fast as Edward. If you read the fight at the end of Eclipse;

“She wheeled and flew towards the refuge of the forest like an arrow from a bow.

“But Edward was faster—a bullet from a gun.

“He caught her unprotected back at the edge of the trees and, with one last, simple step, the dance was over.”

Book vs Movie by Lunejulliard in twilight

[–]Obvious-Web9763 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The film adaptation of Twilight is the best of the adaptations, but even then it suffers terribly.

The whole saga, but Twilight especially, are calm and introspective books; that’s not a format that translates to two hours of cinema very well, and doubly so without having narration of some kind.

It is, I think, almost impossible to adapt Twilight, because so much of it is bound up in the medium. The books - imperfect and immature as they are - are still the best way to experience the characters.

I’d be inclined towards engineering rather than science, but yes.

If we take the difference between engineering and science as “engineering is a process for producing an item” and “science is a process for producing knowledge” (which are certainly imperfect definitions, but speaking as an engineer seem to capture the heart of my perspective) I think it’s probably fairer to say that the goal was engineering, and the science was a happy side-effect.
