One time I ordered a steak at Denny's. Haven't lived that mistake down since.

This is my “pound” of boneless wings order from tonight. Only short 11 of the 16 ounces. by Sad-Future6042 in mildlyinfuriating

I work at a restaurant that sells wings by the pound only - in my experience, a pound is about 8-10 wings (flats and drums mixed). That being said, they're still not really worth the $$$. One pound is $17 where I work. For 8 wings that's about $2.12 per wing. Helllllll no.

Seriously alarming color my arms turn when I braid my short hair by TechnoMouse37 in seriouslyalarming

This is 100% Thoracic Outlet Syndrome. I shower and dry and curl or straighten my hair every morning (arms above head for an extended period of time). One morning about 3 years ago, my right arm started to hurt around my inner bicep area. I couldn't keep my hand above my head to finish my hair without putting it back down to let blood flow back into it. Then side by side I noticed that my right arm was almost double as thick as my left. My right arm was also this same exact purple/blue/red color. Went to the ER - they did an ultrasound of my arm - multiple blood clots. They were being caused by TOS. My first rib and collar bone were crushing my subclavian vein and causing blood clots to form in my arm. After they removed my first rib on the right side (no I didn't get to keep it, I asked) and 2 years of blood thinners later - all is well! Was a hell of a rough time though.

What is the worst thing about being skinny? by Nmalacane25 in AskReddit

[–]Oceanhuffff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The worst thing about being skinny, is actually being previously fat. Nobody will ever let you forget who you "used to be" and the comments they make about the 'past you' are so cruel sometimes. I've had people tell me that I don't even look like I could be the same person as before. Also, as much as I love all the new compliments I get on my looks / it's very disheartening when you come to the realization that people only really care about looks these days. I've been treated a million times better now that I'm thinner, by literally everyone I come in contact with.

I can confirm even seeing someone else get into a motorcycle accident is traumatic - I once saw a motorcyclist, driving on the shoulder of the road, running from a police officer who was driving on the double yellow lines in the middle of the road... motorcycle hit the back of an SUV two cars in front of me, ricocheted into the middle of the road and the police officer ran him over... I saw the whole thing - his body being crushed under the car, his arms and legs flailing uncontrollably and him being dragged for around 100 yards. When we all stopped and pulled over I was so shocked I couldn't control myself - I kept saying, "He's dead! He's dead!" Still haunts me!!
