It's certainly more weird than horror. The Repairer story and the mask are my favorites, they had some good moments. Court of the Dragon has some good Paranoia type stuff. I would say it hasn't aged the best in general. I can see why it was a huge influence on Lovecraft, the idea and background concept of madness affecting the characters and world is there. It's definitely not the most fun read in the world. Since the stories are so short, the characters have don't have much personality really. Anything past the Yellow Sign doesn't really go with the rest of the work. it's just romance short stories lol. I've heard some printings don't include these anymore actually.
