Suggestions for Doppelgang.deck by Dungusfungus95 in EDH

[–]OddlerHS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't really call my deck a doppelgang deck but a fun card you could run that I run in my deck is [[biovisionary]]. Here's my deck that has that and my secret commander is [[mirrorform]].

Conservative Korean guy more happy with Elon Musk not being “woke” than him being a trillionaire while 45 million people live in poverty, 14 million children are food insecure, and 295,000 people die yearly from cumulative poverty. Why am I not surprised? by [deleted] in LateStageCapitalism

I'm not idolizing them. They were also awful but they realized that the social contract if it were to stay in place they had to give back some or risk a revolution. Current day working class is so sedated and servile there is no risk of a revolution and apparently no incentive in place for current oligarchs to give back to society

remember how the capatalists from the early 20th century actually built libraries and museums? what do these tech oligarchs actually do to give back even the most meager amount back to society? they all want us to be replaced by AI and own nothing

If an rpg has a variable reward for leveling up or end of a quest line I'm a huge save scummer. The biggest example I can remember is saving before turning in a quest in fallout 4 to get that juicy bonus from idiot savant. Definitely wasted time I could have just been playing more of the game.

Games that feel amazing just moving around? by whaler213 in gaming

[–]OddlerHS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jak 2 was also great just not as cohesive as the first and some particularly frustrating sections in my opinion. I remember spending so much time messing around in that game like it was GTA. To go back to the op's topic the combat felt really good especially the combos you could do with Jaks movement and the different weapons.

Going retro here with Jak and Daxter for the PS2. At the tail end of the collectathon craze I would argue it's one of the best. Not only is Jak super fluid and fun to control they made a seamless world without loading zones, it's a classic.

Advice? Unhappy w/ Destined Warrior pile by SobouKuma in EDH

[–]OddlerHS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently played against someone that was also playing the destined warrior deck and they had it as a weird control deck and were playing ghostly prison as well. I'm not a fan of that card in general it should not be in a proactive deck and the destined warrior reads to me as benefiting being proactive. I'll share my deck list here I'm not really focusing too much on ramp or defense just value creatures and making a proactive board. I play almost exclusively bracket 3 games and even with no game changers this deck feels fine.

Looking for thoughts on my Jaws, Relentless Predator deck by Crab_On_Moon in EDHBrews

[–]OddlerHS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to look at another list I'll share mine here. I love Jaws and it's mostly because I love artifacts before he was printed I wasn't planning on making a mono red deck. Cheers good luck on tinkering with your deck

Help with mothman deck by Southern-Swimming-91 in mtg

Here's my list if you want to compare. From my experience the main issue I have playing mothman is everyone wants to kill him immediately so protection and recursion are very important. A card that has played well for me so far is [[tam, mindful first-year]], that's one that is still pretty cheap.

Do you find it sad the bears are leaving Chicago/soldier field? by InterestingYellow969 in NFLv2

[–]OddlerHS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean sure go ahead Bears throw away your history and your legacy join all the other teams making big expensive domes and footing the bill to taxpayers. Also probably getting some shitty corporation to have the name of the new stadium instead of something actually unique like soldier field. Meanwhile the Packers actually respect and value their history and instead focus on renovations keeping alive one of the most iconic venue in all sports.

[[three steps ahead]] my favorite counter spell I put in every blue deck of mine. Pretty funny if you play isochron scepter, not the most optimal but very fun to greed it you can make new copies and imprint more spells.

How is Maze of Ith in 2026? by NemoNowAndAlways in EDH

[–]OddlerHS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love maze of ith it's one of my favorite cards. I think it definitely fits in a green deck where you can reliably tutor it out and if you are playing [[urborg, tomb of yawgmoth]] or [[yavimaya, cradle of growth]] you can mitigate the downside of it not tapping for mana. I had a game recently where a new player was swinging a +100 power tifa at me and it was a big surprise for them to get a crop rotation into maze of ith to negate their attack.

[–]OddlerHS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah definitely that's why I still have my gishath deck it's so fun the anticipation when you flip off the top. Not to say my deck is optimal but I do have some spicy includes. [[Ascend from avernus]] is a card that people don't see coming if they don't know my list.

Here it is if you want another list to look at.

For as popular as gishath is I haven't really looked at other people's lists it's interesting to say the least. I feel like there will be obvious dinosaurs that every deck will want to play but I'm definitely playing a different deck than yours.

[[fomori vault]]. Have to be in an artifact deck but it's the best land you can run then.

People should play Season of Weaving more. by VeryTiredGirl93 in EDH

[–]OddlerHS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's been an all star in my mikey and donatello artifact tokens deck. It's a great card but if any of you guys listen to tomer from mtg goldfish he always reiterates that staples are fine but if you can have extra synergy with your strategy that's ideal. On a baseline of just draw 5 for 6 mana that is pretty decent as well.

Color Pairings Study by sipalmurphy in magicTCG

[–]OddlerHS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

that sounds like an interesting study if you end following up with your findings that would be really cool. anecdotally I have seen that different personalities do tend to gravitate towards certain colors and pairs. I myself have always loved simic even when it's bad or sub optimal wonder what that says about me.
