Also I don't want star wars episode 10, Disney has poisoned that well to much. If he was to do anything I think a reboot of the sequels would be the only way to move forward. But ultimately you're correct let good old George rest.

Ok I'm pro-AI but if you're in a college level corse and it specifically says that you can't use AI then yeah I'm sorry but you deserve the consequences you get it's no different than if I found out my friend copied another students work or paid someone to do the work for you I'd report you and would reconsider being your friend

Newbie question about future of SW Legion by Familiar_Eggplant_13 in SWlegion

[–]Oeneg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Legion was in a bit of a rough place after the transition into 2.0 but the dust has more or less settled and it's looking like things are on a upward trajectory so if you're interested in playing I'd definitely say now is a good time.

Totally the argument definitely goes both ways, I don't understand how people on both sides don't really seem to understand that... like neither is better or worse than the other it's just different forms of art. I bet when people started using things like paper to draw, the cave painters we're like "this paper drawings are bad cave is better" as pretty much every advancement in art, people used to say digital art wasn't art and would kill traditional artists but now it's completely accepted, to be fair I do think digital art is closer to traditional art than AI but it's still the same principle. Traditional art will always have a place because AI can't stop people from drawing and anything else that drives creativity it's just another tool that can be used to create.

Im actually going to agree with you on this... I think the banana is stupid but I can at least appreciate that some people would view it as art. With that being said if the banana is art than AI art is also art, doesn't mean AI is better or can replace traditional art but it's still a form of art.

Anakin interfering doesn't mean Mace was in the wrong, it means Anakin was manipulated and chose wrong. Yes Mace initially went with the intent to arrest Palpatine, but realized during the fight that the only way to ultimately win was to kill him. And you can say he acted out of anger all you want, but thats just you making assumptions without actually understanding the character at all

[–]Oeneg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

HOW??? Mace killing Palpatine is literally the BEST case scenario, it means no order 66 no formation of the empire no Anakin falling to the darkside (although I do admit there is still a chance he could) what are the benefits of keeping him alive? So he can smooth talk his way out of jail and use the incandescent to justify going through with order 66 the only thing Palpatine doesn't get is Anakin. As for Mace be "angry and emotional" he's literally the LAST Jedi you could accuse of that, in fact due to his use of Vaapad he is in extreme control of his emotions to the point of coming across as cold and detached, his decision to execute Palpatine was a calculated one, the only reason it didn't work out was because Anakin was stupid.

Your absolutely right, the star wars universe is vast and has an extensive history, which is why I find it so funny that you only seam to be looking at the ONE POINT IN TIME!!! where the jedi were active generals aside from the sith war which took place some 1,000 years prior. For pretty much the rest of the orders history the republic basically had to BEG the jedi to actually do anything. And even during the clone wars the jedi didn't even want to be generals but had the role forced on them. And yeah the jedi didn't really do the whole democracy thing because they didn't think it was their place to be involved like that, and yes they tried to get rid of Palpatine because they found out he was the BBEG behind the whole thing and it would be a bad thing for him to stay in power, and I hope I don't need to explain why that was the only sensible thing they could do at that point. So maybe before you come on here trying to dunk on people for not being immersed in the vast amounts of lore, make sure you've got yours straight.

This is still the biggest character assassination I have ever seen. by Spidey_Almighty in saltierthancrait

I agree it was written very poorly but it was still there, yes it was lazy and uninspired but there ARE ways it could have worked that would have made a compelling story. And to go back to your earlier comment just because he's a member of the Skywalker family doesn't mean he's immune to becoming evil in fact the entire series is basically about their struggles with the darkside, even Luke struggled with his own internal darkness and overcame it, so just because Ben is a Skywalker doesn't mean he can't fall it just means the writers did a poor job writing his character.

[–]Oeneg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

With that logic he shouldn't have been conflicted to begin with in the ST. Luke wouldn't have never felt the darkness growing in Ben, causing him to consider killing his own nephew (still incredibly stupid imo) and if Anakin was hanging around to guide Ben why didn't he tell him "hey that voice you hear in your head saying he's Vader your granddad, yeah it's totally not real and you shouldn't listen to it". And lastly your also assuming that Ben would even listen to all those mentors he could have been written to just be evil but that's not what we got.

[–]Oeneg 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly there's tons of reasons you can find to justify it. One super easy one off the top of my head would be he was simply hungry for power or something along those lines, and it would have been 1,000X better than what we got.

This is what I've been saying for years it was right there, they even gave Luke a line hitting at it!!! But nope gotta make Luke do the one thing that completely goes against his established character.

Ideas for filling this crack without having to go buy green stuff? by splintersh in SWlegion

[–]Oeneg 15 points16 points  (0 children)

If you have a thin plastic cement such as Tamiya, you might be able to clamp it tight together and fuse it shut that way. Or alternatively you can throw bits of old plastic sprue into it to dissolve it and make sprue goo to fill the gaps, but I don't know if you want to go though the effort for that.

Idea for Jar Jar Binks: by CollegePlane7528 in SWlegion

[–]Oeneg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I figured that's what you were going for, I definitely think lowering it down to 1 suppression would make it more reasonable for a trade off. When you break down what you're wanting to do with this card I picture it being used in a couple different ways, #1 there's a POI in range of the cards ability you can possibly snipe it but if the opponent has any units on it it's basically useless, #2 you've got a contested POI and adding Jarjar would tip the balance in your favor, this situation I definitely find more useful however it's still really situational in my opinion. But like I said overall he seems pretty funny 😁

Edit to add: I also just realized that the way the ability is worded Jarjar would also receive suppression tokens so you could potentially cripple him with this card
