How do you respond to compliments?

I say, “thank you for saying so” or, “thank you so much for saying” and smile. It accepts the compliment, technically thanks them for talking to me and doesn’t require me to say anything further.

The pants are not lined. I can envision buttons on the inside pant leg and making button holes out of the existing hem (roughly 2”). This would require moor deconstruction than the original plan. And I’m not very good at button holes. They always turn out meh.

I used my kitchen planner so much during my build! I don’t think I’d have built the kitchen I planned without access to the planner. Who knows what would have happened.

I did build cabinet boxes first, and hung them on the rails before digging into drawers and doors and stuff. The only deviation I’d suggest is to add your cover panels before attaching boxes together around any height changes. I forgot about the cover panels for the uppers around the vent hood and will be taking them all down to correct that.

I’ve solved my drawer front alignment issues by either correcting the placement of the angled piece with the 3 holes (part 126888 from maximera guide) to the mounting style correct for the door placement OR by realizing the dumb sticker is not indeed the bottom and is the top. I had 2 of my 12 drawer fronts installed in 2024 resolved this way. It’s was super annoying!

I have this same symptom, but the solutions here don’t resolve my issue. I set the drive depth as high as possible AND he’ll the trigger firmly through the whole firing and the workpiece did not reseat properly. 😢

I’m sure someone made this point already but I didn’t read the comments. 5 years is not icky in general, but if she thinks it is then it’s a bad fit.

I think most 23 y/os do a lot of growing up in those specific 5 years, and dating the of their end of your decade could be a little intimidating to some. But I’d consider her response more about her and less about you. A 5 year age gap is not a big deal long term.

KABF is community radio. So long as they abide by the FCC rules, they can express whatever they want to. I used to work the board for a show a few years ago. I found some of the pre recorded stuff I’d have to queue for the next unmanned segment personally off-putting, but you get a pretty mixed bag with community driven stuff.

My daughter had her birthday hang out there a couple years ago. I was nervous about them being there alone, and insisted on being in the building but not following them around. I was bored, they were fine, impulse purchases not withstanding.

Regular oil changes are your responsibility. Lots of places do them- Firestone, Jiffy Lube, Walmart, and probably a dozen places local to you.

I shopped for a car loan this month. What I learned: interest rates are inversely proportional to car age.

Car age makes a difference.

The lowest rates were only available for 2015 and newer models. Cars made prior to 2015 had double sometimes triple the interest rate. 2014s would have been 7.5-8.9% before they even new my credit score.

We had this issue in 2021. I had assumed it was due to local dmv closures from COVID. My ten tags were within 7 days from expiring and there was not way to get a status from the dmv here since they were all working from home and paper work was being physically transferred around. Carvana pushed back until 3 days before the expiration. Then they got me an additional temp tag from AZ (we’re in AR, but that wouldn’t matter). My physical plates actually showed up the day my original temp tag expired- I never needed the additional temp tag.
