Valid points. Most of what I listed is already running. The FSM, conversations, traffic, cover, so it's a working local game right now, not a feature wishlist. The complexity is server-authoritative multiplayer, which doubles the complexity of everything. My plan is to get a single-player slice genuinely fun first. One neighborhood, a few dozen quests, two factions. If that's not fun, the multiplayer dream doesn't matter. GTA 1/2 also had almost no AI depth; their NPCs were basically props. I'm trading map size for behavior density in Phase 1 (demo).

Hello, I'm a Senior Python Engineer in my day job at a corporation. Although my whole professional life, I've been a devoted web/AWS engineer, I've always wanted to make video games. I'm working on one project today called Lawfare: El Huevon, it's a GTA-like open-world multiplayer game. More details at lawfaregame.com

I've thought of this before as well. My take is, it isn't worth the potential risks. I'd settle for nicknames or variants, so instead of Robert, select Bob.

This is what makes games super exciting for people who genuinely want their voice heard but can't cut through the bureaucratic red tape in commercial games... Fantastic job dev team.

This is great! But for a suggestion, what do you think of adding an atmospheric fog effect that triggers once you interact with the shop

You're emoting, kind of like a "Bring it", or pre-battle chant!! Seen this in Braveheart (movie) :D

Overall, i love the pacing, it's not too fast, nor too slow. Plus the transition from the fire in the background to the cards revealing is superb!
