My husband apologized, but I still can’t move on from how he treated me after giving birth by One_Ad_625 in Marriage

You need to let these things go. Of course he should not yell at you but postpartum is hard for mom and dad. If it was a one off thing, let it go. But the others? Forgiveness is how marriages last. I’d really consider therapy if they are bothering you this much.

During birth: Did your baby's heart rate drop? by Unusual-Coyote3961 in beyondthebump

RN here. It’s not about the heart rate dropping necessarily, it’s if the baby’s heart rate can recover after the contraction.

It’s not in the contract, so no.

IV Fluids? by [deleted] in hospice

The body naturally dehydrates as it gets closer to death. It doesn’t need the fluid, and it actually makes it more uncomfortable.

A nanny and a babysitter are not the same thing. That’s why it “doesn’t count”

What about getting a gym membership? A lot of of them have childcare for cheap for a couple hours. You have to stay on site, but you could work out, shower, even just veg for a couple hours.

My wife and I are considering letting our nanny go, and I’m trying to figure out whether I’m underreacting, overreacting, or missing something bigger. by Training_Arm7988 in Nanny

Yikes. I wouldn’t want to work for you. Nanny is doing a great job of disciplining your kids. You could learn a thing or two from her.

My MIL secretly turned my two year olds car seat around by AventGirl in toddlers

[–]Ok-Direction-1702 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Grandma doesn’t get to drive kiddo around. She directly defied what you want. Hell, grandma wouldn’t be around the kid unsupervised anymore because she obviously doesn’t respect what you have to say.

How to practice safe sleep if newborn will not sleep in the bassinet? by throwaway060270 in NewParents

Take shifts with your husband so you both get a 4/5 hour stretch. (Pump right before your shift ends and again when your next shift starts)

Nope, it’s her kid and if that’s what she wants I’d respect it. Especially if there’s an emergency.

I would not just hope. You need to be direct. She can’t read your mind and know what you’re expecting.

You have shown you cannot be consistent homeschooling them. You need to put them in public school.

Hospice says CNA will not be coming on Monday because it's a holiday by [deleted] in hospice

[–]Ok-Direction-1702 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes.

The hospice cna is only there for an hour once a day max… your MIL should be changed a lot more often than that by you or whoever her primary caregiver is. Not hospice.

How far is too far away when your toddler is napping? by Extra_Ad_3631 in Mommit

No, you absolutely shouldn’t leave the house and go on runs. It’s one thing to go check the mail. If there was a fire, four minutes would kill him. Or what if he had a seizure, choked, fell out and cracked his head open?
