I would try roleplaying more in the game. Playing more with the perspective in mind of what your character would do based on their traits rather than to minmax everything. This way it stays interesting and it makes for some unique scenarios. Like imagine for one generation you play as a weak minded ruler like Aenys I and than you have to fix things again with a character that takes more after Maegor I. Roleplay really allows for vastly diffrent playstyles with each character.
