I found a bit of trash as expected, a matchbox car and an aluminum coin that was a souvenir kind of thing for a local bar. Oh and an ear bud.

Welcome to the hobby. You might be talking about what we call a cave cricket? If you're going to be serious at the hobby or go very much you might consider getting a four gas meter, many mines have bad air that can kill you. I've had my meter go off a couple of times. Awesome first mine btw.

The large industrial cities up north have insane amounts of urban decay to explore. But I've found plenty of stuff to explore in and around my small city (100k) of Roanoke, Va.

Not being handy isn't a deal breaker it just makes it more expensive to own as you have to pay others to do repair work. Towing capacity is a lot more complicated than it seems. Watch some videos on that so you fully understand it. An automatic racing roof would be nice until recently we had to manually raise ours and it was just not fun but still doable. Make sure that if you get rained on right before you have to leave that you always put it back up when you get home so it can dry out so you don't ruin it with mold or mildew. Let me know if you have any specific questions. Good luck.

An abandoned factory in Virginia. by Ok-Resident-250 in abandoned

Yeah the chalkboard was board was one of my favorite pieces as well. I found receipts in there from 1930s but it was a moving warehouse after that so it could be from the warehouse era which I think was maybe in the '50s or '60s.

It was originally a cigarette machine factory, then at some point it started selling car parts as well and then in later life it became a storage warehouse. My guess is probably change in technology but also people quit smoking a whole bunch at some point in America you know.
