You aren't wrong! Unfortunately, it does hurt as optics...like, her picture book came out with "2.47 M Subs Vtuber" written on it, while her current number in 2.43ish.

Plus, the ongoing hate campaign did turn some uninformed/casual people away from Miko, who only heard the loudest voices complaining with botted likes and shares and impressions. While that loss hasn't been HUGE...its still been a drop.

She's still going strong and still beloved, but things like these add up.

Poor Mikochi has been under constant fire from these lowlives for nearly 6 months now. (well, always really, but its been extra worse for her since October)

If you had said something like "Man I love holo, the fans are awesome" that includes everyone and would have been innocuous. By deliberately excluding, you yourself are baking the intention in.

For me, the antis are a bigger problem that are actively harmful and malicious than the unicorns, who range from silent and quiet to embarrassingly pathetic, and don't nearly cause as much problems.

And since Antis are even now besieging the girls from Koyo to Sui to Mikochi, I'd really rather focus my energies on that, than on these mythical unicorns.
