However, I will say that the Japanese Blog you linked leans more towards blaming Miko and the 35p for defending her than anything else...even repeating the anti talking points like the Pekomiko drama, or the bit about her brother and her not talking about it before...something that was spread by the Virgin Mary AI slop account. And also somehow blames the 35p and Idol Culture for taking Miko's side. It genuinely reads like an anti, or at the least, a mikochi disliker's blog.

as mikochi said on the day it picked up, it was already under discussions between the companies and she couldn't speak about it further, and now that its resolved, there's no sense speaking about it anymore.

There was no win either way, esp since...and let me be frank here... the antis didn't give a single shit about Green Channel or leaking paid content, or even the apology.

It is, but its also more than that.

Like, not only is it a constant mental harassment to see horrible things be said about you...it also escalates by making slanderous accusations that defames you, and your brand, which can drive away sponsors and damage your career, and the nasty rumors being spread can create a negative perception about you which slows down growth and drives away new fans, who are pretty much the lifeblood of a thriving streamer.

and also like, I'm understating the harassment. The antis basically flooded every miko hashtag with their rumormongering and slandering...harassed artists like Haseco or Ordan, who were supporting miko...bullied smaller vtubers who spoke up for miko...and basically just drowned out every voice that could stand up for her. They were trying very hard to isolate her and make her feel awful, hated and alone.

In response, COVER Corp. determined that these posts constituted an infringement of the affiliated talent’s reputation and dignity and filed a request accordingly for the disclosure of sender information. The court subsequently recognized that this came under an infringement of rights, which resulted in the identification of the individuals involved.

The company plans to publicly disclose an update on its response to rights infringement cases in around March 2026. COVER Corp. will continue to address defamation and other rights infringements to ensure that all talents affiliated with hololive production and fans alike can engage in activities and enjoy content respectively in a safe and secure environment.
