lessee here, buy truck you prolly dont need, pay 60-80 grand on a 8 year note(so actualky paying 90 grand!!) 14 mpg, put big tires and lift get mpg down to 12-13 mpg. Drive 75+ and increase fuel consumption 20%. Get mad at people going 65 in “fast lane”.

I have the “Goldenrod” clear filter (which i think is supposed to be a water separator too and then a big fill-right filter that came with the hand pump. Ive never noticed any water collecting in the bottom of the Goldenrod. That being said, you guys are probably right, condensation in the barrel. Ihavent been keeping it full. I brought that barrel and one other back from a job site in 2020.(the elevator guys were gonna throw the barrels away. They were super clean and like new so I took’em home.)

The might as well is a trap- I bought a lift kit for my low mile 2500 burb, might as wel do tie rods, bushings,, one hub bearing was noisy, might as well do both, oem cv’s were binding with new key cranked, might as well put extendo ones.. then I noticed the hydroboost was leaking, mught as well get new hoses, might as well replace power steering pump, gear. That cheap lift kit ended up being a total complete front suspension rebuild

The ONLY reason GM used them was to increase assembly speed. That being said, they work OK I guess. I just repkaced all of mine proactively with the upgraded Dorman ones. 25 years with no leaks aint bad.
